Been here several times but this visit was shocked 2 see how winter had turned park in 2 a muddy no grassed area. But my daughter still managed 2 do the park run over Easter and we enjoyed it
Lovely gardens. Enjoyed a very nice walk around the lake and the miniature railway track. The weirs added a pleasant soundtrack to the walk and the children's play area was full of the sound of children enjoying themselves.
What a lovely park - beautiful surroundings for a walk or run. Took part in the Pavilion Gardens parkrun on Saturday morning which was excellent.
Buxton Pavilion Gardens is a Victorian landscaped public park, which is a Grade II* listed public park of Special Historic Interest.nThe 9.5-hectare 23-acre site of the Pavilion Gardens lies in the valley of the River Wye. Two tributaries of the river run through the park along landscaped courses. The northern branch spills over cascades and under footbridges whilst the southern branch connects three man-made lakes, the last of which has a fountain.nA great bit of outdoor space, toilets available in the park but locked in the evening, dog friendly, but loads of birds so if your dog loves chasing definitely not recommended, you can tell the locals feed the ducks and geese, as soon as you go near the ponds, the ducks and geese are all around you, if you don't like birds don't go near the ponds, even my dog didn't know what to do, never seen so many.
Beautiful day, for the Easter extravaganza, we had a lovely day just a little bit sad that the geese & ducks had churned alot of the grass so there was more mud than grass.
