This place is not located in the nicest area and it’s a bit small but the food was good. The smoked salmon was delicious and the chicken sandwich was a solid choice. The meat was normal and the wine was okay. They served our wine in water stained glasses, so I knocked off a point for that, although they did correct the problem for the second glass of wine. The service was nice; would love to come back for brunch as it seems that that is their strong point. Prices are okay.
I visited Paul's Kitchen earlier this week and I couldn't fault the food or the service. I wanted to try their burgers, and seeing as how they have a special offer on Tuesdays buy one burger and get the second burger for 1p! it seemed a great excuse to pop there for dinner. I had the lemon and herb chicken burger and it was excellent. One of the best burgers I've had in fact. The fries too were amazing and the homemade coleslaw was very tasty. I also ordered a milkshake, which was delicious.
Friendly fast service, lots of great food on offer. Great atmosphere too. We enjoyed our afternoon tea. It is child friendly, which is a huge plus, they even have board games for you to play. We loved it, will go again and would recommend.
Really good food and service. All types very fresh. Had eggs florentine, eggs were perfect. 3 separate menus, breakfast lunch and dinner all with tempting selections, will be coming again.
Nice food but don't pop in if you are short of time and looking for a quick snack as the food took a good while to be served, you can phone ahead and they will have your order ready for you to take away but can't comment on this as we ate in, a chilled laid back kind of place.
Lovely quiet place for breakfast. I went for pancakes and it was satisfying. Good coffee you can call and order your food before arriving
Lovely meal booked through Groupon, defo try this place again. Friendly & polite staff
Went here for afternoon tea. Good food and excellent service.
Having read some mixed but generally positive reviews we decided to take my partner for afternoon tea. The drinks were very good but the food was much less impressive. Tasteless sandwiches and shop bought cakes did not warrant the cost. The tea, also pretty tasteless, was served in chipped, heavy mugs that had seen better days. The toilet, just off the kitchen, was filty and seeing the chef outside smoking didn't impress either. I felt the service was provided by someone with something better to do and the atmosphere wasn't very welcoming. I, unfortunately, wished we had booked somewhere else for a Birthday treat.
Not worth a visit. Went for afternoon tea today and were very disappointed. Don't be misled by the photos on the website, it's certainly not what you get. Wish we'd read the reviews before booking. Cutlery was dirty, cups were chipped, teapot was badly cracked and the milk bottle was filthy. The food was served in small wooden crates lined with kitchen roll. Sandwich fillings were terrible. Cakes were all shop bought, Mr Kipling bakewell tarts were the last thing I was expecting! and the strawberries that were used to garnish were well past their best. We were done in less than 20 minutes. Very poor.
