I’ve never cried after a hairdressers appointment before. I did after this one. I had a wet cut done by Chloe. But before the hair cut even began I found the experience to be negative. I was trying to befriend her; make her like me, start conversations of which she ignored and replaced with her own questions. When I go into a hairdressers I like it when they make a fuss: this is a potential regular client. But I won’t be going back. It was cold and I felt like I was causing her an annoyance but daring to ask for my hair cut. Once my hair was cut, I realised it was too short my hair is long and I asked for a nominal amount off - just cut the dead bits off - I lost a third of my hair, way more than agreed. When I got back into the car, I pulled my hair round my neck and noticed large chunks of it are uneven. I’m going to have to now pay to have someone fix it - making it even shorter. Also the salon wasn’t very clean. There was hair everywhere including in the sink I had my hair washed in!? I’m sorry but it wasn’t the hairdressers for me and I won’t be coming back. Best of luck with the salon!
Got my daughters’ hair done by Molly. Perfect!! Will come again soon as this was for the first time when they had their hair done properly and professionally
Had a wet cut done by Chloe, is a nice cut however once I got Home I noticed a chunk of my hair was an inch longer than the rest so did have to cut it myself. Also the salon seemed pretty dirty there was hair everywhere, brushes didn’t look clean and the sinks also were full of hair.
I was attending a wedding in Woodstock and Chloe cut my hair and styled it. I was thrilled with the results she took great care, the cut is excellent and she thinned my hair as it is rather thick. I was really pleased with the results she delivered exactly what I asked for. Just thought I would mention one minor point that I felt that let the salon down, which was the dirty trays with brushes covered in other peoples hair. Luckily Chloe didn’t use one of those brushes on my head. I do think that nowadays that all brushes, combs etc should be clean and sterilised for each new client. Chloe was very personable and made me a lovely cuppa. Very reasonably priced and would have been five stars if the brushes and trays had been cleaned.
As someone who absolutely dreads having my hair cut in case something doesn't quite go to plan, I found Paul Kay Hair Salon after a glowing review from a friend of mine and I can honestly say I have never ever had a better hair cutting experience. My hairdresser is Martin who is absolutely fabulous! He has completely transformed my hair and has helped me with many different colours and styles over the years. He listens to what I want, offers fantastic advice and is just an all round fantastic hairdresser. I can't recommend him enough or the salon. The girls in there are great as well and its a really warm and welcoming place. GET BOOKING!!
Paul has been cutting my hair for 20 years now, and I couldn't recommend this salon more! The salon has a welcoming and friendly feel. 5 stars all round.ServicesHairstyling
I have been a regular at this salon for the past couple of years, after it was recommended by a friend. Paul is great, and tailors styles to best suit my face shape and hair type, giving me a fab cut every time!
What can I say?! This place is an absolute gem. Nothing is too much trouble and they’re SO friendly. I’ve never felt so safe. I loved visiting and I hate having my hair cut. Literally would not go anywhere else now. 1000%. Thank you guys!!! Thoroughly recommend Chloe. She’s fab!!
Had hoped to leave with a well cut & executed Men's haircut, with good layering, even balance & ultimately a Haircut myself & others would say was nice. Sadly on reviewing the had cut in my own space & company of others, have had nothing but ridicule as to how uneven & 'chopped at' it is. Just another so called Hairdresser Martin that cuts to a shape, rather than actually lays the needed foundation cutting, along with making sure all that is being cut is even & balanced. Paid good Money for this & very disappointing results had, after only three days. Now seeking to have it done again elsewhere. Would highly 'NOT RECOMMEND ' to those Men seeking a modern cut done well, as it's more suited to Ladies perhaps, if suited to something. Won't be back & annoyed at myself in giving it a go in first place.
Over the moon with my hair colour and cut by Martin at Paul Kay's. I've had compliments everywhere I go on how well the colour has come out and also the style of the cut. Martin listens to exactly what I want everytime I go and is always happy to get my hair looking how I want it.
