Lovely place!! Would highly recommend going!! Use to be a old bakery which sold amazing sausage rolls, got taken over by patisserie Valerie and they still sell them here!! Got an afternoon tea for £25, lots of food, veggie options great!! Scones and quiches still warm and refillable hot drinks. They do an amazing deal on their cakes as well. Extremely friendly staff. Well worth a visit.
Very nice place to come and chill out during the day. Good size cake portions and a warm homey atmosphere. The piano music that was playing was not really my sort of thing but each to their own. The cappuccino was very good and strong. The staff were very young and giggly which was very much appreciated. I didn't honestly expect this place to be open given the recent financial troubles within the company. I'll be back. A delightful experience. Well done everyone.
I had not visited Patisserie Valerie before but a small group of us decided to go for Christmas Eve brunch at 11:00hrs. The food and coffee was delicious and the server very helpful and polite. Although the shop/cafe was very busy we were seated at the very last table at the bottom end of the cafe part so it was nice and quiet..service we a little on the slow side but as we had coffee first this didn't cause a problem. The prices were also reasonable. I would certainly go back again.
Had a tea voucher so went on Sunday. Nice setting and not overcrowded. Service was great very efficient and no waiting. Staff polite and helpful. Recommend this place for tea. They also do meals but as I did not go for a meal cannot comment. The cakes and sandwiches we had we really fresh and very tasty.
Went this afternoon for afternoon tea voucher + cake box very friendly staff all lovely & smiley despite being very busy, had a short wait for table, very nice selection all served nicely presented with unlimited hot drinks, was very relaxing as despite being busy we weren't pushed to finish quickly. Would definitely recommend & we hope to do this again soon. Well done to the team
Popped in for a coffee and slice of something nice whilst out shopping. Lovely establishment and well presented. Staff are very friendly and helpful. I had a slice of cheesecake with my coffee that was absolutely Devine. Though it was very Morrison, I couldn't have eaten anymore as the portion size was pretty big. A great selection of cakes and gateaux's available to take away or eat in. Definitely a place to visit if your passing
A lovely tea room with plenty of space. Comfortable setting, friendly staff, delicious teas, full bodied coffee, and magnificent food. The tea for two at only £25 is a bargain to day the least. Well worth the stop if you are in Bury St. Edmunds.
We were given a voucher for afternoon tea for two to use here and delightful it was too! We were greeted by very friendly waitresses who brought us a pot of tea and told us to ask if we wanted it topped up! Then the very full cake stand came out! The bottom plate was crammed full of assorted crust less finger sandwiches and two mini quiches, the second plate had two plain scones, two fruit scones, jam and a huge jar of clotted cream and the top plate was brimming with mini cakes! Absolutely delicious! Our teapot was refilled too! An hour of sheer indulgence!
Good service tea and coffee. Cakes amazing. If you like cake you'll love this. They do light meals. All day breakfast. Service very good. Problem getting wheelchair in and toilet have steep slope to get to.
Not happy with the afternoon tea. I know its not the Ritz but I expected more from them. The sandwiches were badly cut and the three tier plates were warm which dried the very small sandwich's and I know the sandwiches are afternoon tea size but these were very small. Will not be going in again. Which is a shame as I have bought selections of cakes from them before and they were great.
