Decent fish and chips and can't complain. Solid portions and fits for a good supper. Food: 5/5
Fish and chips is no longer a cheap option but that being said the quality of the fish and chips is excellent, probably one of the best I have ever had. The premises are clean, the service is efficient and friendly. A first rate establishment. I had Plaice which is not listed below, freshly and excellently cooked. Portion sizes are generous too.
Great food, be nice if the cod came with a slice of lemon then I'd give it 5x stars. Batter was nice and thin, big portion of chips.
Used them for the first time tonight. Fantastic quality and perfectly cooked. Cod was about a foot long and crispy batter. The chip portions were very large and again perfectly cooked. Have not before today found a good chip shop in this part of Brighton. Compliments to them producing great food at a good price and the service was friendly too. Highly reccomended

I never eat the batter because I always find this tastes of oil, it totally spoils the taste of the fish. Since it was my first time going to this place, I thought I would taste the batter. I was SO surprised at how TASTY and super light it was that I ate the whole piece, batter and all! Very impressed. The fish itself was really fresh and the portions are humongous! Defo will go back there again. Very friendly team there as well. Nice atmosphere.
We've been going here for 20 years and since Joseph took over and installed the new cookers it's easily the best chippy around. I've had fish and chips in award winning places all over the country and they're not a patch on Patcham.
