My daughter wanted a costume for a party so I visited the shop for the first time. Parking was ok, albeit across the road. Inside the shop the owner greeted me with a warm hello and helped me look where I needed to be. I have to say I read the poor reviews this business has received and I suspect a little bit of snobbery is going on there. There was a massive choice of costumes all at a good prices for all different age groups. Yes there were stacks of parcels on the floor in the shop but he is running an online business on his own and working bloody hard doing it as well to keep customers happy and to put food on the table, so perhaps the people who have been very quick to judge him and his business need to step back and take a good look at themselves before they harm his business by leaving snotty reviews. I will be going back to this business to buy more goodies and I’ll be recommending it too. If you're looking for a fancy dress shop with a very good selection of outfits at very competitive prices, where the shop is manned by a down to earth business owner who is happy to help you, this is the place for you. If you're looking for a personal shopper experience when you're only spending £20, then you're probably the problem, not him.

Awful man , rude is the only word to describe him. Shop opening times do not reflect the website and shop looks like a tip. Doesn't even deserve 1 star

Opening hours for a Tuesday state 9.30am... however waited between 9.30 and 9.45am and there was no sign of life, security shutters stayed firmly closed. Rang the phone number and no answer. Whilst waiting for the store to open I read the Google reviews and came to realise quite a few other customers had found a disparity between the advertised opening hours and when the owner actually bothers to open up. The hesitation in not going straight to the stagedoor costume shop was the inconvenience of parking in Stockport... whereas Party Heads is closer to our home. So my wife called Party Heads at 2pm and to our surprise the owner answered... with a miserly "yeah". The following conversation then happened... Wife: please could I ask what time you are open until? Owner: a few more minutes Wife: ok and what time do you open Tomorrow? Owner: about 12 Wife: oh it was just that my husband was wanting a costume for my birthday party on friday and it is 70's themed... Owner: I don't know what stock we have in-store and I'm not checking, why doesn't he go to stagedoor? Wife: it was just convenient to come to your shop... do you not do much business during the day? Owner: I do most of my business online. Wife: ok thank you for your time Owner: I guess the owner really doesn't care about customer service... strange as Party Heads Facebook page is regularly updated and has lots of offers that have been posted at various times but captioned with only available in store... surely if you want customers to come in you should firstly open up... then secondly vastly improve your customer service skills to retain those customers. It's easy to think he will be out of business soon... but I don't think so as so many people when ordering online don't read the reviews of the shop unless the review rating is on eBay. I think he only opens the shop when he has to process online orders. I guess it will be well worth the time and couple of quid parking in Stockport to go to stagedoor after all.

I ordered a costume online, came to pick it up and my size was out of stock, the manager couldn't of been any more helpful when trying to find me something else. Both members of staff were super helpful and very welcoming. I ended up with the outfit I wanted and my friends little girl left with some free glow stick which made our drive home a lot easier!! HUGE thank you! Thank you both again for your brill service! Will be back again!
