Another basic station with a ticket machine. Old grumpy building nothing special.
Wheelchair access is limited to London bound platform only. No lifts provided only footbridge between platforms.
A small, basic and quite nice station.
Used to offer good solid service before COVID, particularly for early morning trains when I needed to get a flight from London City Airport or a Eurostar from London St Pancras. However, now, the issue is when I'm heading northwards in the UK - usually to the midlands - I can no longer do one change at Basingstoke. I have to change at Winchester to change at Basingstoke, it's non-sensical. Why are SW Trains not stopping at Basingstoke on the Weymouth to Waterloo line? That said, I also agree with the poster who mentioned about disability. Not an issue for me, but would be an issue for my cousin and my grandmother. A smaller version of the walkway and lift system at Oxford station would suit Parkstone well!
Nice little station with trains that go to and from that London with many intermediate stations en route.
