Both of my daughters have been very miserable at this school.  There is so much pressure on the girls to take 10 GCSE's , even when they are desperate to give one up.  The school simply didn't listen to what my girls said to them and refused to treat them as individuals.  There are some lovely, helpful members of staff, but the leadership seems to insist on an ethos that places school ratings above student well-being.

The teachers are, as a whole, wonderful, as are the support staff. The canteen and cafe have a great selection, no matter your dietary requirements, and the newly built Sixth Form Hub is a great space to spend your study periods, as is the library. I really would recommend this school for your daughter!

This school lets down its pupils in so many ways I'm not sure how to begin. Anyone interested in non-traditional or creative subjects is heavily discouraged from taking them on, and the teaching and materials are substandard in many cases though Mrs Parks and Ms Whelan were wonderfully enthusiastic and encouraging drama teachers, as was Mr Farbridge with extracurricular creative writing; he didn't have to help, but he did.nThe amount of discrimination against LGBT+ students is shocking, with more than one student reduced to tears through hours of interrogation, threats of forced-coming-out and, to be frank, sheer mindless bullying. The support network for LGBT+ students is nonexistent, and given the surprisingly high numbers of LGBT+ students at the school, this is a glaring oversight and error.nMental health issues are similarly treated; there is virtually no support network for those who need it most, and again, the number of pupils with mental health issues, possibly due in part to the endless pressure placed on the students, is shockingly high.nI personally experienced a good deal of discrimination, largely from the leadership group at the time, and am still struggling to find ways to grow past it, through counselling and CBT. I look back at Parkstone as a necessary evil I had to struggle through in order to come out at the other side relatively whole. I may have made two wonderful friends whilst there, but if I could go back and take the three of us somewhere else, I would. If your child is in any way different from 'academic, effeminate, quiet, confident but not too confident, uninterested in creative subjects and dresses very conservatively also no trousers' then I recommend you send them elsewhere.

The school can not ask parents to park safely when picking up there kids, uneducated parents mean they teach there kids to be selfish and dangerous. The staff are rude, head teachers pa assumes everyone is a liar. Admin team as they are called, will hang up on you, will not act professional and are aggressive. Please avoid this school

A good school and all of the teachers are kind and supportive of the students especially through their GCSEs and A levelsnnDefinitely recommend sending your child here
