Rooms very large. Somewhat clean. Dead flies in bath. Rundown hotel. Relatively expensive overnight stay. Can only recommend because they allow pets. Full of builders. Parking is available.
An odd hotel. Some of it apparently new build, some still in the process of construction. Two hotels on one large plot of land, with a detached house and garden in the middle of everything‽ Pleasant décor, friendly staff, let down by a faulty window meaning lots of road noise and a very disturbed sleep. Blackout curtains would work if they were wider, but lots of light allowed in. Breakfast freshly cooked, but rather meagre for the price. Parking somewhat crowded, but there's space if you look.
Absolutely horrendous place to stay Menu is shocking, the food is even more shocking. Room had cracks everywhere even some holes in the ceiling. To be perfectly honest I did not feel safe and use a chair to barricade my door as they appear to let homeless people have rooms for cheap later at night. They can often be heard arguing in the hallway
Staff were very friendly but that was the only real positive. The hotel seemed devoid of life and the room was dated and in disrepair. It seemed like no one has touched this placed since the 80’s. Light fixtures hanging off the walls and broken chairs stacked in the corner of our room. Would probably be enjoyable if your idea of enjoyable was staying in a hotel straight off the pages of a horror novel.
It was nice had a balcony but they won't unlock it we bought our dog as well Rooms: Very large
It's a decent enough 3 star hotel on the main A4 and it has an immense free car park. We were booked to stay at the Lawns Hotel which shares the car park but were placed in the Parkside. Breakfast was OK and included in the price of the Lawns but charged extra at the Parkside; I wouldn't pay the extra for it though and reception a little offhand. The room was a very good size and the bed comfortable although the fitings were a little tired. It offered good value in an expensive town so would happily stay there again if the need arose
When we arrived the beds weren't made, there was a tray of half eaten breakfast and towels on the bathroom floor. I reported this and the lady on reception was very apologetic and move us to another room. The rooms could do with a good lick of paint. Had a good nights sleep. Staff very helpful.Rooms: 3/5
Pretty good area, sometimes there's vehicle noise outside; but for a Londoner this is every other day so I'm used to it. The service was pretty decent, check in was quick and easy although I did arrive at 9-10pm in the night so less busy. Barely did find a parking space available, however there is free parking nonetheless. The room was okay, however I was concerned with another review regarding bed bugs however I did not encounter any. One thing to note were the maggots on the balcony floor, which was disturbing, so I removed a star because of that. The breakfast for me was pretty decent, eggs, hashbrown, mushrooms and beans I had the vegetarian option so no complaints there. Enough for me to start my day.
Rooms in desperate need of refurbishing. Very tired looking. Skipped evening meal due to poor reviews.
Awful, avoid, bed bugs!! We stayed here after having the most wonderful day at Royal Ascot only to find we weren't the only guests in our room.... it was invested with bed bugs!!! We ended up leaving at 1am, the night porter said that he has reported the bed bugs on numerous occasions to the manager!! AVOID! Even the sheets were stained as photo below shows! We were kindly offered a refund!
