Just putting this on to say, This place is very much closed! So that others don’t make the walk we did and be sad when they arrive to a closed down hotel! If, like us, you are thirsty after your walk the Little Arms pub has a good pint and an excellent crisp selection!
Outstanding service throughout our stay, three old guys walking the fells nothing was too much trouble, food out of this world, thanks everybody, we will be back. Much love, Bob, Mal and Max.Rooms: 5/5
Went to the hotel for a meal last Sunday and had the surf and turf steak, absolutely excellent, add in the friendly staff & pleasant surroundings and its a winner, it was my first time here and I will be backService: 5/5

Meal for a 60th , food was lovely and ample portions , service was attentive and friendly .Nicely decorated and clean. Can't comment on the rooms as haven't stayed here. Parking and access easy.Service: 5/5

Early dinner booking so all was quiet on arrival. Staff were really lovely and friendly. Food was cooked to order, not too long to wait. Everything was delicious. Son and I had steak, dad had Cumberland Sausage which he thoroughly enjoyed and he's fussy about his cumberland sausage! and daughter and my mother shared a pasta dish - for which the staff were happy to bring an extra bowl out for the sharing. No desserts as we were celebrating a birthday and had cake at home. Will definitely be back as various menu choices sounded very tasty so want to try more!
Lovely hotel with well-sized rooms and a comfortable bed. Superb customer service - staff were very friendly, helpful and accommodating. Good location - 15 min drive or a lovely bike ride to St Bees beach and a 10 min drive into the Lake District National Park. Good breakfast and fantastic price, would definitely stay again!Rooms: 5/5
Nice inside. Friendly owner and staff. Food was really nice. Menu a little limited but tasty. Were willing to do something different for my wife who is a vegetarian. Worth a visit.
