Tired hotel. Lovely grounds. Plenty of parking. Great pleasant service. Easy access to East Anglian coast. Excellent breakfast, good produce and choice. Bar meals basic but well cooked and presented. Rooms clean, large and airy. Comfy bed. Tiny tv. Uncomfortable wicker chairs, with very thin cushions. Dodgy shower. Good value for money. Would definitely stay again when in the area.
This hotel is a little gem, stayed for three nights until yesterday, the staff are so lovely and friendly and made our stay they were so accomodating and helpful, we had room 7 which was great for the dog as we had french doors to garden, the food we could not fault or the service, and everything was so clean we would def stay here again
My Daughters wedding was held in the Barn 28/5/22 The staff where so helpful right from the start and the Bar Staff where absolutely brilliant on the night. Wouldn't hesitate to use this venue again. Good job and well done to Ruth and her staff. 10 out 10 Rooms: 5/5
I arranged a 90th Birthday lunch for my great aunt who lives in Lowestoft. I had to book several rooms of varying types and requirements over two nights. I was also managing the lunch orders. There were lots of amendments leading up to the event, even adding then cancelling rooms and meal for two people the day before. This was all taken in the stride of Ruth the owner and her team with no extra charge for last minute cancellations. The hotel is "traditional" in a good way for me, though some may think it slightly "quaint". The rooms were spotless, spacious and comfortable. The breakfast was great, local produce and piping hot. The birthday lunch for 13 guests was faultless Very nice grounds and great for dog owners whilst not disturbing non- pet owning guests. I would like to give 4.5 score really. The only two very minor observations were the bar food on Saturday night was "reasonable" and the hotel itself is set back from a main road with no pavement so a car/ taxi just £10 into Lowestoft on a Sunday is required to get to local amenities
We had our wedding in their Barn 15/02/22 and the staff were brilliant. So accommodating and flexible, they were truly amazing and made the process of wedding planning as stress free as possible!Rooms: 5/5
Great hotel, ideally situated to explore the Suffolk / Norfolk area. We stayed with three young children and our dog, honestly we could not have felt more welcome by the staff. Two very smart rooms, great breakfast included in our rate which was delivered to the room at our request - cooked fresh and perfectly warm. Our evening meals were taken in the Bar area where once again our dog was welcome to join us. Lovely food, extremely friendly atmosphere. Thank you to all the staff for a wonderful stay. Highly recommend this hotel, can’t wait to return soon.
Nice if a little run down in places but this is part of the charm, room was clean and comfortable. Food is very good simple bar grub and the breakfast is very good. Dog friendly and close to amenities, would stay again if we were in the area
Just had the Christmas Dinner, must say, it was excellent, large portion of turkey. Service was really good, Carol really showed great awareness to our needs. Highly recommendService: 5/5

Gorgeous grounds, we sat outside for some food and drinks, staff were friendly and it a very relaxed experience. Food was tasty our room was large, comfortable and very clean. We were impressed with the effort on social distancing and keeping items in the room clean, we received everything room key and remote etc. In a bag, they had sanitised the remotes.
