Dirty, hairs and dust everywhere. Shower room blocked. Hot water takes ages to come, lots of water waste. Staff is none existent and the person who answers the phone has very poor English and not helpful whatsoever. Finding the room was a bit of a challenge as they have some odd numerical system. Some of the rooms are literally on the parking lot. Location is great, lots of shops and restaurants nearby.
This place was awful. There is a phone to communicate to hotel staff, but when the fire alarm went off...we couldn't get a hold of anybody from the hotel. We tried for an hour, eventually we had an hotel guest call the fire brigade, even they couldn't get a hold of the hotel so they had to break some things. If you have loved ones and small children don't go here because it is dangerous. I am a nurse and was scared that if it was something serious....the whole place would have burned down. Also, Every door opening and closing was heavy and hard...sounding like it's right inside your room. Awful
We stayed at the hotel twice and both times we didn't have any problems. The price fully justifies the rooms, it can be dirty at times, but for us this was not a problem since we were just looking for an overnight stay. The location is absolutely convenient and easy to find. Comfortable and good hotel for those who are looking for a comfortable and cozy overnight stay in Edinburgh at a reasonable price.
Stayed for one night and it was a nice experience. The self check-in system was easy and convenient. Good parking space for your car at the rear side of hotel. Nice, clean room and comfy bed. Good location as well.Rooms: 4/5
I have stayed at this Hotel a couple of times now, the rooms are clean and dry, My room was at the front of the hotel overlooking the park , I did however couldn't close the window shut, the TV didn't seem to have any signal, other than that it was warm and cozy. It was unfortunate that the two nights that I stayed, the guest next room was inconsiderate to the rest of the other guests they were staying up all throughout the night talking out loud and laughing ,This obviously was not the hotels fault....it was just bad luck. The location was ideal for me and most probably will be staying there again. Rooms: The room I stayed in was warm and cozy, but the window didn't seem to shut. Walkability: Easy to walk around and easy to find.
Decent accommodation, with self check in. It took multiple attempts at check-in to get through to someone, however they were friendly and very helpful. The room where we stayed was well maintained.Rooms: 4/5
The room was very cozy, but not happy with the service..Here are few things so that you can improve your service more better and it will not affect to other traveller's. 1. I have booked the family room for adults and the worst thing the bathroom was not getting locked. 2. There was no staff on-site,everything was on call which of no use. 3. There was no soap in the bathroom. 4. There is no kitchen or no oven. Would not recommend to anyone!!!
It is 1:46 am we are all standing in the parking lot, it’s been 46min since the fire alarm went off in the whole building. It is a malfunction. We tried calling the hotel but there was no reaction apart from „we informed our manager” guests called fire fighters on their own but no manager appeared. It is a nightmare. We will be seeking a full refund.
This hotel is very great when it comes to location. It is very close to everything resto, pub, tesco, bus stops. As I enjoy my staying in Scotland, so as here in this hotel. Very clean and tidy. Only cons here is it does not have a lift as I'm carrying my heavy luggage and my room is in the 1st floor and I have an injured knee. But all in I enjoy my stay there. Rooms: Clean and tidy. Complete with blow drier and iron. Safety: Peace and quiet. Walkability: Near in Tesco supermarket. Near in pubs. Near in restaurant. Near bus stops.
Old style B&B and pitched at the correct rate for what you get. Rooms & communal areas are tired in areas but clean, Beds & pillows not the best but not that bad. Towels fresh & a decent shower. Good connections into the city, bus stop right outside & tram a few minutes away both around 15mins to town Member of staff I met was polite & helped us with key safe & check in.
