I had a very disappointing experience with Park Lets. At the end of our tenancy, they made us pay for Wi-Fi bills including cancellation fees, even though our contract stated it was their responsibility. They were rude and condescending over the phone when issues have been addressed. We had ongoing issues with mould. The only positive was the maintenance man, who was amazing and very nice, unlike the admin staff. Admin staff were rude and charged us extortionate prices for ‘missed bits’ of cleaning, despite us leaving the house in brand new condition. Not sure how missed bits can total £270. Furthermore, we have had issues where the landlord had not turned up to a viewing she arranged for the new tenants due to prior commitments? We therefore gave the new tenants a tour ourselves. I would not recommend this company.
We have just moved out of a student house in jesmond and it’s safe to say this year has been a struggle with these landlords. We have had issues over wifi, which was supposed to be included in our tenancy agreement, however park let’s failed to provide a working wifi service and have now refused to repay us for the final months payment of wifi. Furthermore, communications over any issues we’ve had have been poor and unprofessional at times. Although I will say that the man in charge of maintenance was excellent and always efficient, however as landlords park let’s have been incredibly disappointing.
We didn’t choose to have Park Lets as landlords as our previous, better landlord transferred us to them. Our experience with them as students has been awful as they cut off our wifi without telling us and made us believe it was our own fault. Then they proceeded to make us set up our own wifi when our wifi was included in our contract. Upon departing from the house they decided to not pay for the final wifi charges including the early cancellation fee and the communication throughout was atrocious. As students I would recommend choosing better landlords to be with. Since writing this review, I have been on the phone with Natasha specifically who went on to say that if I had not left this review she may have negotiated some of our charges, but will now choose not to. This is a very unprofessional comment to make as a landlord as you cannot ‘negotiate’ charges that are apparently coming from the council. Once again, I do NOT recommend this place.
Had nothing but positive experiences. Friendly team who communicate well and are happy to help. Shoutout to Grace who worked hard to sort out loads of issues for us!
Currently at a house being let by Park Let’s. Brilliant so far, any issues or maintenance problems we have had have been sorted very promptly with no long lasting issues. Payments and everything have been very seamless. Would 100% recommend to other students looking to rent a property.
I’ve stayed with ParkLets for this year and they have been excellent when it comes to sorting problems we have had to the standard of the rooms. Would highly recommend if you are looking for a student house in Jesmond.

Park let’s has by far been my best experience with renting in Jesmond over my time at university. You were friendly transparent, organised and educational, which I found really helpful and appreciate as someone living away from him the manuals. I also appreciated Sean coming over and fixing anything pretty instantly. The flat was also really nicely furnished.
Untrustworthy landlords that only care about scamming students/young professionals. Good luck if you can get an answer from them during office hours via email or phone. Especially when they owe you money. Customer service is unbelievably lacking with office staff being incredibly rude. I believe they're still learning how to CC properly to keep all tenants in the loop when dealing with deposits. Do not record inventory sheets correctly and attempt to charge you for a full deep clean of the property when your tenancy is up to pay their own family member cleaners at above-market rate. Houses are poorly maintained and are often the tenants are blamed for these when in actual fact the houses were never fixed/maintained properly from the previous tenants. Student/young professional lets are normally extortionate but avoid this company like the plague. £3200/month in total to this letting agency for a house that was completely sub-standard. I've seen invoices regarding inventory charges written to a better standard by a six year old just learning how to use Microsoft Publisher. The lack of clarity on their invoices are astounding, as is the inability to train colleagues on how to answer emails or the phone. Advice to tenants: take pictures of EVERYTHING and make sure your inspector actually records all of your inventory issues. They won't fix it and they'll certainly try and charge you for it later. Don't trust a bunch of scamming landlords that advertise a purpose built smoking shelter sized for a couple of nicotine addicted rats with a padlock as a bike shed. Get a property with another landlord that's less of a scamming scumbag.
