Lovely way to see the city from the river. Parking directions were good, spacious car park. There is no machine but a human in a boot taking only cash. Walking though a boat yard was interesting. Luckily, we didn't wait long for the boat. The 15 min ride was great, it had a viewing platform on the top. On the way back there were a few food or coffee shops near / on the pier which made it convenient to wait for a boat if you miss one. I saw a boat leaving so I calculated that it would be back in 30 min which was perfect for having a cup of tea.
This was a lot of fun. Loved the trip in. Recommended as a way of seeing Falmouth and the estuary on the way in. Dog friendlynTipsn- was cash only. Took us by surprise too. There is a Sainsbury’s close by with a cash pointn- take a note of where to catch the ferry back. Lots of boats leaving from the quay so it can get pretty busy
Park for free and pay for a return ferry ride. Great way to experience Falmouth! The ferry staff are also very polite and will help you on and off the ferry if needed.
All smooth. Wife and I were the only 2 waiting for the ferry in the morning 2nd Sept. I thought we would be waiting for a long time whilst other passengers turned up. Crew waited 2 mins, said they would be happy to take us straight to falmouth. Great experience, good approachable crew I asked a few questions on the way, smooth journey. Would recommend.
Disaster, that's poorly organised. We parked the car, we then found out they only except cash . We were advised at 12:20 the next ferry would be 13:00. Walked down to the Jetty to find some 30 people already waiting. When the ferry arrived, it only took what appeared to be 20 passengers. Whilst we were waiting, the numbers behind must have grown to between 30 to 40. We decided to ask for a refund and parked in the town.
