Gardens are stunning and plenty of ares for contemplation and whiling away the time. Cafe offers good tea and coffee with cakes and sandwiches. We didn't go into the house but had a good walk around the grounds.
My first visit to this lovely little garden today. Beautiful wild feel about it. Borders buzzing with bees and the sweet smell of Philadelphus. Some lovely perennials but unfortunately some areas were choked with bindweed. A fabulous little plant shop/nursery with some little gems. Perennials seemed a bit pricey but shrubs a good price. Lots of choice. Nice tea shop. I'll definitely visit again.
Beautiful 16th cent. house & gardens in a fantastic setting - acres of parkland. If you love gardens, then this is absolutely for you. Stunning colours, beautifully maintained, and superbly presented. All credit to those involved. The house is much as imagined - wonderful, and full of very beautiful things. Popular cafés. I had tea in the Mower Shed. Friendly staff. Great for families. Plants for sale. Gift shop. Easy parking and access. Well appointed toilets.
Lovely gardens & house to spend some time in. House was interesting and staff really helpful. The gardens are lovely with different areas and a lake to wander around. The parkland is huge and is home to Deer too. There is a nice cafe with outdoor seating were you can enjoy the sunshine.
We were looking forward to Parham House opening this Easter and we weren't disappointed, the gardens and house were fantastic, the history of the house is so interesting and as it was Easter there were loads of activities for the kids, we also had a lovely rest by the lake, after walking around the gardens, on one of the many secluded seats and were happy to have bought season tickets so we can go back again and again. Great day out for all the family.
I had a fantastic visit here, the gardens and lake are beautiful and the guides within each of the rooms were informative, approachable, funny and exceedingly knowledgeable. The Savoury scones in the kitchen are not to be missed either.
The house is lovely, fully furnished with original furnishings and art work, with enough of the house open to visitors to make it worthwhile exploring! Staff are knowledgeable on the history of the house and can answer any questions. The gardens are stunning and include roses, a walled garden, various hideaways and vegetable patches, so something for everyone! Again they are very open so you can wander where you wish. I recommend visiting in July on the Parham gardens open day, where various businesses come to the gardens with stalls and food vendors; a lovely summers day out- although not recommended if you are crowd averse! I would love it to be a National Trust property as entrance can seem pricey to those with a NT membership, although that would mean losing some of its charms!
A beautiful private tudor house in a gorgeous setting nestling by the South downs. The house is wonderful and so are the gardens.
