Such a disappointment. All looked great and we tried croissants, fat rascals, and sausage rolls. All were stale and dry. Disappointed children and adults!
A huge thank you to the bakery for the marvellous scones provided for our coffee morning at Almondbury Disabled Leisure Group. The were delicious and sold like hot cakes! Thanks from Pauline and Mary
Pick up a weekly order from Penistone market various bread, tea cakes, sausage rolls and whatever else I’m tempted by and have never been disappointed. Always fresh, tasty and offering a varied selection of high quality items
Bought a lemon cake to eat at home, quite expensive at £2.80 but looked amazing. However it was very disappointing, dry and tasteless. Such a shame that such care had been put into the presentation, but the cake seemed like it was at least a couple of days old.
Been picking up fresh sourdough and Focaccia from these at Penistone market for the past few months. Absolutely, smashing, I've even got my parents that live in Brighouse hooked!!
The people are super nice and welcoming I look forward to every Saturday and I always love it I get the Cornish pasty and my dad gets a pork pie and they are absolutely delicious
Been in a couple of times recently, the first experience I gave them the benefit of the doubt. The second time was just as bad. Was served a dry, lukewarm sausage sandwich, I had asked for sausage and mushroom but was told in no uncertain terms we don’t have mushrooms by a women that had about as much warmth towards customers as the sausage she gave me. Wont be going back.
Always look forward to Thursday and Saturday on Penistone Market. The cakes, bread, pastries are just superb. Their currant slice is packed full of currants; their quiches are delicious. The staff are very helpful , friendly and obliging, which is a big plus in this day and age. Have no hesitation in recommending them.
Just went in for a breakfast sandwich. I won't be going back. The service was rude and uncaring. The food below average. This place used to be good and had Holmfirth to itself. That isn't so any more.
Absolutely delicious bread. Their cheese infused loaf is to die for especially toasted so the cheese melts! And phenomenal customer service from the owners. They are the main reason we go to Penistone Market on Thursdays and Saturdays.
