Spryfield now has good coffee! It was nice to grab a cup of Java blend coffee so close to home. Mrs P's has added alot of new products including ready to heat meals. Staff was very friendly.
Lovely local Bakery. Everything is excellent. Their pies are terrific. Very clean bakery as well. Highly recommend it. I have referred can number of people here and now they're regulars.
It took me longer than I should to visit this place. Everything I have tried so far is excellent, local, fresh, homemade-style, from pastries to bread and honey. I didn't even know what an oatcake was and now probably one almost everyday. Their local honey is amazing and the lemon square turned me into a fan of lemon squares.
Peanut butter Oatcakes are great but the peanut butter filling and chocolate dip is experiencing shrinkflation.
For 2 yrs we have ordered over 100.00 worth of the Peanut Butter Oatmeal cakes and had them shipped to us here in Alberta. This year the filling is minimal and can’t even be tasted. To say we are disappointed is a understatement. A peanut butter oatmeal cookie without the peanut butter is an oatmeal cookie and is NOT what we ordered.
I discovered Mrs. P's bakery recently as they sell some of the products at Arthur's bakery. The oat cakes are just the best thing. I especially love the cranberries ones, they are so good!! I also tried the dates squares and they are just so soft and delicious.
Rude lady working at the counter, and giving weird replies and a girl laughing at the back... Just being oversmart not professional at all.
I ordered a Carrot cake for a birthday dinner that l was supposed to bake for. I ran out of time so l ordered one from Mrs. P’s. It was beautifully iced with a sprinkling of coconut on top and it was DELICIOUS! I may never bake another one myself again...why would l?
After recently moving to the east coast from Vancouver I have set out to discover the best oatcake in Eastern Canada my latest obsession. To date, these are probably the best! I usually don't like sweet oatcakes, but the cranberry orange has me hooked. They also sell peanut butter and a host of other flavors I have yet to try. The texture is crumbly and dry, but still moist without being chewy I prefer a crumbly, thick texture that isn't rock hard, closer to the Scottish style. I couldn't believe my luck when I drove by this place we had to pull an illegal U-turn and head back!. They were actually closed late holiday Monday afternoon, but let me quickly pop in and get my oatcake fix. Am I ever glad I found this place.
We have been stopping in for nearly 20 years to pick up oatcakes from Mrs. P and her son. Chocolate dipped and beyond delicious. I wish I had their recipe so that we wouldn't have to wait so long in between picking up more...or if we can order online/by phone and have them sent to us that would work too. No one else has ever come close to creating the delicious flavor and perfect texture of Mrs. P's oatcakes. I am just sitting down to one now, with a cup of tea, to start my day. My daughter had a friend pick some up for her and mail them. mmmmm mmmmmm
