Very good birds of prey display. Very good conservation efforts. The penguin feeding could be better if they walked around as they fed them so everybody gets a closer view. The staff were very helpful, even radioing for a Gardner to help me identify a plant I saw and liked. The Macaws get really close when they come out so good for photos with the kids.
This is an amazing place to spend with the Family; great many things to do. From enjoying the education animal exhibits, to attending the various Public Programs, beautiful grounds, and even Indoor recreation areas, Paradise Park has it all. Most importantly they support the conservation of the Natural habitats of the parrot species on exhibit with the World Parrot Trust
This place has THE BEST Red Panda experience. Amazingly lucky to meet their 3 girls. Donna and Natalie were great. Got loads of photos and we never felt rushed! They donate lots of money to Red Panda Network and other Animal programs so its great to support the work they do. The rest of the park was great and would definately recommend for those with children.
Visited whilst on holiday in Cornwall, brilliant place for family’s & couples. Spent about 3 hours here so much to see had really good time! Many varieties of birds I’ve never heard or even seen before & the free flying macaws was lovely touch to the park!
Great little park. Mostly birds all really interesting, but a few other animals too like red panda, sheep, goats, donkeys and oddly my favourite, the field mice. Really great viewing area for them. Shine petting animals too, Guinea pigs and rabbits. Signage around the park was really good, lots of useful and interesting background information and some personal to the named animals. Lovely seeing macaws flying free around the park. All the bird shows are well worth watching. Scheduled well to allow all to be seen in one visit. Pram friendly. Great for kids and grown ups. Lots of nice areas to sit and have a picnic. Gift shop was really reasonable with lots of nice things well priced. The play barn must be booked for time slot was great. We went mid week outside of school holidays and there was hardly anyone there. Socks a must. Great area for small kids and the area for bigger kids is also open to adults/parents/carers which was good fun. A great family day out.
We visited st ives for a week and before going I googled where the best places were to go. This was one of them and my partner and kids said this was by far the best day they had. It was fantastic and we literally spent ALL day there. So much to do and none of it was boring or repetitive. It’s all so planned perfectly. Even the birds are hungry compared to at other zoos so all the kids got a go and loads of birds on them feeding. Great day— thank you
If you like parrots and birds of all sorts i.e. owls, magpies etc this is for you. There is a small farm area with goats and donkeys which you can feed. There are penguins which are fed at 2.30pm which are nesting at the moment! and do are many of the other birds. Great time of year to visit. There are also parrots flying around the park not in cages.
Amazed at the macaws flying freely over the park. A wonderful sight, felt I was in the tropics. Beautiful grounds, well maintained and healthy creatures. Lovely to see red squirrels for the first time. It was a rainy day unfortunately so was disappointed not to see the red pandas who were sheltering from the weather. Highly recommend.
Really nice place to visit, lot of variety af birds to see, also otters and red pandas. You cab get up close with a lot of them. My daughter loved feeding the rainbow parakeets. Also a lot of plants and gardens to see as you walk around. They do have an indoor soft play area for the young ones. There's a farm where you can feed the goats and sheep also see rabbits, guinea pigs, miniature donkeys and harvest mice.
Really enjoyed our day out here, it actually exceeded my expectations. It was quite expensive, at around £17 per person additional fee for the play barn, which we didn't do, but they offer return visits for £4.95, which is a great way to keep repeat visitors coming back. All the staff were super friendly. Beautiful place, beautifully presented with great information provided on the animals, and the conservation efforts. A few specimens missing- the Otters aren't there, and the Flamingos have quite rightly been moved to a secure location in light of the current Bird Flu pandemic. It was good to see that the staff have gone to great lengths to ensure the safety of the animals. They have a fun little quiz for children to do on the way around- we had just as much fun doing this as our little one did. Thank you for a great day
