Haven't been for two weeks and find a medium cod up by 90p. From £7:00, to ,£7:90. It's just a little bit expensive and chips small £2:30.. Yes, we're all aware of price rises, but 90p a bit heafty, it's no longer an end of week treat. And pensioner's priced out. Just a little too far !
Outrageous customer service. I arrived on what I assume is a normal night for this fish and chip shop, which was busy with customers treating themselves to a take out. After queuing for a short time my order was taken - people arrived after me who also placed their order. I noticed that those who arrived after me were served first to leave the shop after a short wait. I thought nothing of this…however I took issue with the poor service when a couple arrived to place a larger order 9 pieces of cod. I order a take out for 3 people after me, was served their order and left the shop after a short while. I spoke to the lady who took my order enquiring why my order was taking so long - I had been waiting in the shop for 20 mins by then! People arrived after me and left before me during that time! I was given no explanation with a halfhearted apology. I decided to cancel my order after waiting around for close to 25 minutes. The staff at Papas Super Fish demonstrated prejudice discriminatory attitudes towards me causing me to feel uncomfortable and unsafe with their practices towards me as a customer. I would not recommend this fish shop by any accounts.
I visited here on a Tuesday evening and had cod and chips served in a box! Which is always a good sign...especially if your travelling a little way with your precious food no batter sticking to the paper. The cod tasted lovley, white flakey and moist. The batter was thin and crispy and I've got to say virtually no grease also a big thumbs up for the chips, its a lovley clean place with helpful friendly staff behind the counter, will definitely be going back here
Always had good experience but not today! My Aunts Haddock was cooked fresh and to the usual high standard thank god because at 90 she can be difficult lol ...but the medium cod I was served was mostly batter and very, very dry. Definitely not what I have experienced previously and I just hope it does not form a pattern for the future as we have not been for some time. Great shame

Always cooked fresh wih more than enough chips served in boxes thsn wraped in paper which keeps the fish crisp properly the best in medway
Went here for the first time last night waited 40 mins only to be told the quarter pound cheese burger I had order as well had been given to another customer and had to Wait a further 10 min for another one to be done when we got home and opened it up had no salad cheese was no existent very poor will not be visiting again

After being let down by my regular chippy closed, due to an oil leak - apparently I Googled 'best fish and chip shops in Medway' and Papas popped up! I have to say, this place certainly lived up to the reputation. Delicious, fresh and hot food, coupled with super friendly staff! Well done to all. We will be back!
Food was luke warm. After having fish and chips from here delivered home 3 times now we have only had them delivered hot once. Such a shame as I know they are normally gorgeous. Will be going to Ditton to eat in the future or in my car outside the Rochester shop.
