I have been to Peri Peri Original so many times it's not even funny... I started coming here in 2018, the food then was Excellent, the pitta meals & the chips especially. The service was decent at that time but you would still have to call them 15 mins prior if you didn't want to wait too long. Forgotten items were an occasional issue but they usually replace them. I still go here occasionally however It seems like the quality of service and food has slowly degraded since COVID and it is now at a point that I cannot recommend it... The chips are still very good and the food is ok but the chilli sauce that is provided for the chips is now just liquid and runny, the pitta bread used is not as good. The prices have also increased which I understand. The service is probably what has degraded the most, it seems like there is now only one or two members of staff at any time Including the cook, on one occasion the shutters were only half open and I had to crouch to get through and despite me and others being there for 20 mins after the shutters remained half shut. I do now worry about the cleanliness of the place, the tables and chairs are fine but the counter, overhead menu & bin are dirty and look like they aren't cleaned properly. There have been papers scattered over the counter & a laptop. The COVID screens instead of being completely removed have just had a section of it broken off. This was one of my favourite places to go for food, it's a shame it is where it is... I will visit in a few months to see how it is then and amend the review but for now I think more work is needed.
Using the "too good to go app " me and my buddies ordered there offer of pay £4 , receive £12 of left over food from midnight. We ordered this 3 times , payed £12 expected £36 worth of left over food . Yeah .....too good to be true right and it was . There wasn't any left over food, they cook to order , 5 busy staff . I waited 30 minutes whilst constantly being queue jumped for what your about to see . I've complained to " too good to go " . They offer the deal , contract unfulfilled..... Typical rip off 'take away' is becoming more common now why ? pic's to prove .... 2 bags piri chicken, no Brest , 1 sm fried chicken, 1 sm chicken burger , 3 fries ...... 4 dips ...... £36 worth ....... !!!!!!! Oh , I am getting bored of leaving bad reviews for take away foods but if they rip me off , I'll tell you ......
The lady took the Order for Peri Peri Wings 5pcs deal Fries & Drink it took almost 40 minutes for the dish to be served after repeatedly telling them & reminding of what we ordered, also the gentleman kept on asking what we ordered , place is a bit not hygienic , needs a deep cleaning tables & chair, people who ordered after us got their meal quickly less than 15 minutes.
Honestly 4 stars for the food but one for their delivery service. I ordered last night & took them over 3 hours to deliver it while i’m less than 2 mails away! I had to get up and make dinner myself after canceling the order. I’d only recommend it for going there and ordering yourself.
The service has declined rapidly. Phoned through my order was told it would be ready in 15 mins, only to come into the shop to wait a further 30 minutes and find out they got the order wrong. They didn’t apologise for the delay and packed the wrong order despite me telling me they had corrected it. Wings were soggy, burger was substandard. Save your money and time and go elsewhere. A lot of other disgruntled customers in shop too.
disgraceful service! waited well over an hour for a delivery, ordered 2 pita meals plus drinks, one pita frome one meal was missing... called and was spoken to abruptly by the caveman at the other end of the phone, after 2 minutes of waiting on hold I was told they would send out what was missing, currently that's over 2 hours ago. for every other time I ordered from here, the lazy delivery drivers will call instead of knocking on the door expecting me to go downstairs to outside the flats to retrieve my oder.... at times not even exiting the car. Lazy with a pathetic service. I also think they make the recipe up as they go along as every time it's different the only thing that stays the same is the brown off lettuce.. close it down
This place is an absolute disgrace I ordered £26.98 on the phone they told me between 30-45min, it took them over 90min to deliver my food when it arrived it was cold and missing a meal. It was my mistake as I didn't check I handed £30 over and the driver said he didn't have change and just walked off. I been trying to ring the shop but they won't pick up to me
Ordered food at 5:30 still waiting for it at 7:30 despite repeated calls to the shop there was no apology offered just a rude man telling me I need to wait! When it did eventually turn up everything was stone cold, the fried chicken was dripping with grease and the chips barely cooked! Avoid here at all costs.
I will NEVER EVER go here again!!! Did a order on just eat I called again 1 hour after and the rude lady on the phone told me the driver would be leaving in 4 minutes and be to us in 15 .. I called back a hour after and she was surprised that we still hadn't recived our food she said to me still haven't recived she then put the phone down on me I've called over 100 times the food arrived 2 and a half hours later. Cold and dry!!!! I wouldn't have even fed my dogs the food Nobody go here! They should be shut down and be ashamed of themselves Absolutely disgusting Wish I looked at the reviews before!!!!
This place has definitely gone downhill. I always order online as I knee the place well and after a long time I decided to go collect my order since they take forever for delivery and I was shocked to see how bad the place has gone and how dirtyyyy….. While I was waiting I could the level of hygiene is below average!!!!!
