We always use this chip shop for take away. Fish always fresh, decent pies and sausages and nice chips. Often cooked to order as always busy which is why sometimes the batter is oily but I would prefer freshly cooked rather than say in heater unit for ages.

I didn't give a 1 star because "hated it" seemed a bit harsh but it's fair to say it was the worst fish and chips we have ever had. Chips were odd and lacking any pleasant flavour, not inedible but wouldn't have them again by choice. The saving grace on my plate was the cod but only just. Three meals totalled £28.50 and of that only the drinks and 2 pieces of cod were finished. Sorry to say it but very disappointed and wouldn't recommend. Were not local so didn't know the place but makes me look forwards to having a visit to a decent chippy when we get home.

The food was delicious,cooked well,you are not rushed out the door and the table service was prompt,good size portion,relaxed atmosphere and fair price for the food. Many thanks!

I love going to Papa's for my chips. I travel across town, passed other fish and chip shops to get to it! Options for eating in or taking away with you.  The staff are always up for a laugh or a joke when serving you.
