Meat on the pizza & tots tastes fishy, clearly not being cleaned properly. Nowhere to complain other than calling the store. Delivery driver had an attitude about not being able to find house because there’s no number on the door … what do you think comes between 62 & 66 on the even side of the street?

I was working in the area and used a delivery service to order a “Vegan Works” pizza. I had a £25.00 allowance for my meal which was paid for by the company I work for. My Pizza was delivered to the hotel I was staying at in about 30 minutes, that’s the only thing that was good about this experience. The pizza I received was not the vegan option so it had traditional dairy cheese, pepperoni, sausage and ham on it. I telephoned the restaurant but they were totally disinterested in my complaint and refused to replace the pizza with the correct one. It is my choice not to eat meat and dairy, I don’t have allergies, but if I did then this would have made me unwell if I’d eaten it. It was late in the evening and I had just driven for 4 hours so was I was tired. I had no choice but to buy another meal from elsewhere with my own money. This kind of treatment towards customers is wholly unacceptable, I’ll put this down to experience and never use Papa John’s Pizza again. Dietary restrictions: Vegan options available, but what’s the point if the staff don’t understand the difference and are totally indifferent to their customers dietary requirements or choices.
Not impressed. First time of ordering based on recommendations. The pizza had very little cheese on and the toppings were mainly in the middle with not a lot around the outside. The cheese garlic bread tasted more like cheese and butter!! Not much of a garlic taste. Very rich. Will not be ordering again when you consider the price.
Ordered vegetarian pizza and got a meat pizza instead. Terrible service. The guy who made it didnt even look up or apologise. Quite rude considering he messed it up. The lady behind the counter did apologise and offered a full refund. However, no was refund received. Always check your order before leaving the shop. Vegetarian options: Don't trust it when you buy a vegetarian pizza. Check incase meat has been added.
Used to be excellent. Now it is the biggest rip off ever. Their prices went up - understandable due to food increases of about 10%. Note inflation is quoted as what prices have gone up by since 12 months ago so isn't an instant jump. I added chicken to my pizza and the photo below is all the chicken on one slice, and it's like that on most slices. Beyond a joke. A complete rip off and I'm furious I've paid for 1 piece of topping per slice. The chicken add on was the worst but the rest aren't much better. I used to get toppings crammed onto each slice. Now we have delivery charges, increases for the items, and about a 60-70% reduction in toppings. Check the photo out for the size of the chicken added to each slice. It's the size of my fingernail, and that's the biggest side you can see, not the smallest. It's such a shame as otherwise their pizzas are excellent but I'm not paying for cheese and tomato pizzas. Toppings were already a rip off. Now it's about 10p of chicken on an entire xxl pizza and this doesn't justify charging £1.79.
I actually ordered my take away from the wrong store in error. When I arrived at Gateshead, the chap who served me was so kind, found an additional discount for me and got my order ready straight away. I rang the store that I'd ordered them from to let them know I wouldn't be coming to collect and the guy there refunded me which I'd totally not expected. The pizzas are delicious anyway but it's customer service like this which means I'll not be going anywhere else when I want pizza.
Amazing food, discount and staff really enjoyed my visit here, glad to see them open through covid 19
First time I've ever been to Papa John's and it certainly won't be my last. The pizza was amazing. I went to collect and the staff were really nice and down to earth. Absolutely cracking service. Will most certainly be coming back. Credit where credit is due..this place was spot on.
Food is nice and fresh but there's a cheesecake paradise next to have that one and it is to die for
