Huge quantity and lovely selection. However some of the young staff weren't very good. No idea which pancakes they were bringing and didn't come back to confirm. 1 milkshake had no flavour and waited 10 mins had to ask the young girl again as she forgot. Toilets needs sorted, outdated and dirty. Which is a shame as food was nice
I was after breakfast and my better half wanted pancakes so no better choice than Pancake Place. The facilities are OK, starting to show its age a bit but, the food is spot on and the staff are great. This was my second visit. Thank you Pancake Place.
If you love pancakes then look no further than this place, after driving up from Aberdeen we decided to stop and have some breakfast. I decided to try the bacon stacker which consists of pancakes, bacon & maple syrup. It is always a firm favourite. The restaurant itself was quite cold and felt a little run down but the staff were great and really friendly. When my bacon stacker came out I was blown away by three full sized pancakes finished off with a slice of bacon in-between each, I was expecting small pancakes but they really did go all out. I do love pancakes and these were freshly made, the only downside is that it was served with golden syrup instead of maple syrup and that the portion size could have been shared. Pricing is a little expensive for what it is but if you are looking for a treat, definitely worth giving them a try!
Nice pan cake, but the food was not good, I had hot dog with chips which is disappointed, cold and oily. Service was so so. The place could be better in term of cleaning.
Good honest food with hard working staff. I've never seen this place quiet. My grandparents love coming here, so accommodating with my grandma who was a wheelchair user. Attentive and helpful. The food is exactly what you pay for! Good portions and good food for value paid. Would definitely recommend if you're in town and super hungry. Also, the pancakes are lovely : Vegetarian options: There are a few veggie choices on the menu. Kid-friendliness: Child menu is good, it has a good range of food choice and at least two veggie option. The portion was perfect for our child Wheelchair accessibility: The pancake place is flat all the way through. Wheelchair friendly. I navigated a wheel chair in here a few times and had no problem :
Food was better than I expected, I had a breakfast one, the Mrs a raspberry cheesecake, both very good. Fair prices. Service was OK, it was very busy Saturday lunchtime, so there was a wait just about acceptable to us for puddings to arrive.
With Christmas season in full swing everywhere is packed!! This place had seats to spare, we got seated and looked over the menu, with the missus being a very picky eater she had more than enough options to choose from. Polite staff, good prices, decent portions, and most importantly away from the madness.
It was a really great experience at the Pancake Place. Looks small from the outside, but there's plenty of tables in the inside. It has a lot of booths and it feels like an American Diner. Very cosy, staff very friendly. The pancakes are AMAZING. However, I give it four stars because the coffee was not very good, nor the onion soup. Go for the tea and the pancakes!
Tucked away in a little mall this delightful pancake parlour was a delicious lunch stop. I can highly recommend the pancake stack called the 'Nutty One' but I would suggest it's better shared as it's huge!! Our waitress, Tember, was delightful
Chilli had to be the worst I've tasted in a long time, meat was rubbery and bland I couldn't finish it, the Maccaroni wasn't too bad but for the price it didn't look like much more than cheesy pasta with extra cheese melted on top, the wait for food was quite long as well. Best thing was the drinks unfortunately, staff were also nice and friendly at least, there are hopefully better options on the menu.
