This is a restaurant that has a cool atmosphere with a Mexican theme. However, presentation and dishes are very americanized which is not bad but deviate from the original taste. Drink prices are reasonable and quality and food portions are right on target. Free Parking is hard to find so be prepared to pay for parking around 5 dollars for all day. Customer service is friendly and courteous and the only complain I have is that there are flies flying around your plate throughout the meal which is annoying... I recommend this place if you are looking for a break during the week but if you are looking for the authentic Mexican taste you might want to try a different restaurant.
Great brunch selections!! It was so hard to choose between the chilaquiles or potato hash, but thankfully our waitress had their best recommendation ready. The potato hash was the perfect portion to enjoy alongside a margarita. The restaurant has a chill ambiance, and I really enjoyed seeing other guests bringing in their dogs to the patio. I would highly recommend this restaurant, and hope to visit again for dinner soon!
Very disappointed! I i wanted to love Panama Joe. Unfortunately this place has a very distinct smell. It's smells like vomit at the main bar. This might be a health hazard or something. Sorry, too, gross. The food is another situation. They tried to fool me a week ago; ordered a Chile Relleno, and instead, they brought me a bell pepper stuffed with cheese. Hate to be negative, but bell pepper is not used for Chile Relleno. I'm not an afficionado of Chile Rellenos; shame on them for trying to pull the wool over people's eyes, giving them what they didn't order! We will not return. If you have a hangover and you need to throw up, just come in here. You'll gag and throw up!
Best effing Mexican I've had! We're only in town a few days, and we came here twice. Corona on tap is a nice bonus. Thank you Panama. Thank you Joe. We'll be visiting everytime we're in SoCal. The carne and the mahi and the ceviche and the birria and the queso fundido.... riquisimo
Very very good food. Worth the wait time. When busy or at Pandemic capacity rules put name in with Hostess on water/dock side & you will be given a pager device they will also text you if you give phone number so that you can walk around & enjoy Shoreline Village. Generous Adult drinks.
Excellent restaurant, the food is amazingly delicious, great flavors. Awesome beverages.
Awesome atmosphere and vibes. Great food, the drinks were strong, plan for Uber parking can be bi^%# but also I got a parking ticket my fault I was having such a great time with my friends it didn’t matter!! Great place for connecting with friends for dinner and heading to the adjoining bar after for live music.
Great food and drinks. Wasn't busy on a Monday night. Perfect spot for an anniversary dinner.
Good food, somewhat pricey for a saloon. Focus on hard liquor and cocktails. Been in same spot for decades. Appear to keep current with fads. Often have spotty initial service improves once you have placed your order. Food comes quickly. Again slow fo bring check and get you on our way.
Super beautiful place. Lots of decorations and lighting. Logs of sports channels playing. Last time I came though it was a while before the host sat us or even acknowledged us. Food is always on point. Service is awesome.
