My daughter had carpets fit begining of December 2017, landing, stairs, hallway, dining room, living room at a cost of over £1100, we informed the person who came to measure that it had all been painted as the house has had all new door casings, skirting boards and new plaster, we were told it would not be a problem and we should let them know if anything was damaged. as my daughter was at work I stayed with the fitter, he arrived late and then it took 6 hrs to fit the carpets after which I had to leave for an appointment, on inspection we found that 7 door frames had the paint scraped, the bannister & spindles had paint chipped off, a skirting board in living room had been hit so hard that it had pushed into the plaster and broke the plaster away from the skirting, all skirtings were damaged with paint chipped off, the new door casing in the hallway had been broken at the bottom, I contacted the store and someone came to look at it and took pictures, but they told me that I should expect some damage to the paintwork when having carpets fit, they said they would get back to me when they had had a chat with the fitter, they have never bothered to contact me or my daughter, it seems to be a case of we have been paid so why should we care about any damage to your property you should expect it, we will never use them again, in future we will go back to carpetright, their fitters were brilliant with not a mark on my bedroom, stairs, hallway and dining room paintwork ( all newly painted).

Given the wrong information about an overpriced product on a number of occasions and then told that I have lied about what I have been told, despite the fact that another person heard it too. Had to have them back a number of times to assess the product as it was faulty, then told that despite it being under guarantee, I will have to pay for it to be inspected when it's got a separate fault in it. Twice, a member of staff said, and I quote, "If one of the kids gets a knife and puts it through the floor, it's covered by your guarantee and will be replaced." The floor is chipped and I told the owner what his staff had said and he said, "Well he can't remember what he said yesterday!" but was somehow certain that he had not said this 11 months ago. The owner allowed his member of staff to shout at me and call me a liar in front of my son in the middle of the shop and offer no apology about the lack of customer service or the poor quality of the product. I have used padiham carpet mill for 15 years and would have always recommended them, but after being mis sold a product which has then turned out to be faulty, the complete lack of customer service and after care means that I will never use them again. However the fitter was first class and could not have been more helpful unlike the rude, bare faced liars that work in the store. Do yourself a favour and go elsewhere.

Extremely poor service, ordered over £1500 of carpet and they got two rooms totally wrong. They blamed my wife for the mistake even though they had come to the house and surveyed the job. My wife was in tears as they refused to come up with any solution even when I pointed out that the invoice was also different to what was ordered. Complete lack of customer service from the manager and his staff. I will be pursuing them for compensation. On a better note, the fitter was first class.
