Great little park. Plenty parking spaces, some a little walk away but still fine. Parking in an actual car park does cost but its pretty cheap. £1 an hour. The park is tidy enough, nice little pond with plenty ducks does need a bit of a clean. The little tea hut is great and dog friendly and the tea I had was absolutely delish. Kids had some ice cream, all in all was about a tenner but worth it. Plenty seating around too. Space for picnics. Toilets are located in the tea hut. Definitely worth a visit.
It's an amazing park equipped with a huge pond, kids play area, benches to relax, a food outlet, interactive stationary games, ground etc. It's an all in one place to have a fun day with your partner or with your family. The ducks and birds in the calm water makes your mind calm and helps you regain your strength. Nature is here Playground: A well maintained playground for kids and also for the adults Restrooms: Couldn't find any Dog-friendliness: Dogs love grass and water, so this place is a good combination of the both Picnic area: There are multiple outdoor eating spaces where you can enjoy food and drinks being in the nature
A very brief visit whilst completing the Shaun on the Tyne Sculpture Trail. Beautiful setting with park, woodland, trails, pond, children's play area, and a fabulous café. The Urban Café had everything you needed, refreshments, snacks, and ice-cream. It's dog friendly if you have your 4-legged friend with you. There are toilet facilities in the café. Also, there are plenty of charging points near the indoor seating. Seating is also available outdoors. Very reasonably priced. I had a lovely Earl Grey tea to keep me going. The young lady serving was wonderful and clearly knew her regulars.
Beautiful and serene spot to come along, with your special someone or with friends or family. It has two cafe with good outside seating. Playground: Playground with swings for kids are available.
Awesome small park, and a park of one huge park which is a big park of Northeast heritage. The biggest enjoy in this Park is that you can pick your own way of seeing it and still you won't miss any interesting places. The more you walk in it, the more you understand how much proud, talent, money and time was spend to make this park, to make it lol astonishing even though lot of time.
Visited for the first time and I was amazed by the beauty of this place. Provides hiking, sight seeing, picnic spots, play area, stream, waterfall and lake all in one place.
Such an amazing park, Paddy Freeman's feels like an old fashioned park with playing fields, paths and a boating lake plus cafe and playground of course, it's also a gateway to Jesmond Dene.
One of our favourite places to go. Loads to see and explore with little ones, perfect for dog walking. Great location, public transport runs really close by and there's plenty of parking if driving. A perfect sanctuary just minutes from the city centre
Paddy Freemans has a bit of everything, football fields, basketball, a lovely connection that leads directly down into Jesmond Dene which is very picturesque. There's a good sized playground for the kids, and my daughter's personal highlight is the large man made lake where we go to feed the ducks. A nice place to spend a few hours with the kids or perhaps take a picnic and enjoy some down time with the family. Playground: Reasonably sized playground for ages 1-16
Very friendly staff, very welcoming for both myself, kids and our puppy Milo who lives his cheese toastie in the mornings.
