Great looking roof...just completed. Changed out all the skylights and installed new shingles. UPDATE: Unfortunately. while the photo shows a great looking roof, there were shortcuts installers took that resulted in leaking roof in two areas resulting in water damage to ceiling sheetrock that has not been repaired. Intial rating downgraded from 5 Stars to 1 Star. Initially, it was thought that two skylights were leaking and the company sent repairmen on several occasions, each time saying the leaking was repaired. When the leaks continued and after I went into the attic to investigate while it was raining, it was found that the leaks were result of rainwater flowing over flashing that was not properly installed and not the skylights. One photo shows flashing with vertical edge of about 1/2 to 3/4 inch, instead of a normal 3 inches. There are two photos of one area of sheetrock. One showing a slight seam that was there before work began and another showing the effects of heavier water leaking. A company representative looked at this damage today and said "since it showed earlier damage, they would not repair it without our paying for the repairs....this after one of the companies supervisor responded shortly after a rainstorm and after seeing water flowing from the damaged sheetrock said "we need to fix that."Services: Roof repair
I booked an appointment to get an estimate for gutter replacement. I got several text reminders of the day and time, but no one showed up. I waited nearly two hours before I had to leave to take care of other things. No one responded to my texts for information. Edit: apparently their outside appointment scheduling service had a problem and they called me immediately after I made this review. I will update this rating as I get more information. It’s gone from 1 to 3 stars just for the return call.
The crew leader, whom I first met when he came to assess the project for estimate, was on time, very respectful of our home, informative and knowledgeable. Unfortunately, I left his card in NC, and so, I do not have his name handy. He also came out with his crew to perform the work. They arrived early, went straight to work and left the premises neat and tidy. Great job at a fair price. Thank you.Service: Roof repair
I just discovered a leak in my relatively new 5 yrs roof. Probably related to Florence but likely to small to go to USAA over. I called several, highly rated Fayetteville roofers. The response was 4-6 weeks before we could even look at it. I Called PW roofing at 2:39PM today.....3 Hours later I have an appointment for 11 am on Saturday 17 November!........What great customer service. The person I first called was one of the owners. He said he would have one of his guys call me....and they did! When I talked with the guy coming out, he said the company had 120 roofs in the works because of Florence. They still got to me immediately! How rare! I will update this review after Saturday....
We called for a small project due to the wind storm. Rob came out do an estimate the next day and said he would call his guy to see when the next opening he had was to come out and take care of it. We called the next day and he said he would call us back and never got contacted.
Jake came out within a day of contacting him through Thumbtack. We scheduled him that week to fix a flashing that was leading to a leak in our house. He said they were already on jobs that week and would have to fit us in between those jobs. That was fine. The week came and went and they never showed up. Jake said the jobs took longer than expected and they would be out next week to fix it. I asked for a scheduled appointment at this time to ensure they would show up and he never responded. On Wednesday we still hadn't seen or heard from him. My husband left him a message that the roof needed to be fixed by Friday because rain was coming over the weekend or we were going to hire someone else. He texted me and said the roofer would be there Saturday morning. I texted him Saturday morning and asked what time they would be there because it was 9 am and I still hadn't seen or heard from anyone., He texted back and said they had a roof open that they had to close before the rain came. My roof is leaking into the house but everyone else's roofs continue to take precedent, in addition you started this job after you had been telling me for over a week that you would fix my roof. He said they would for sure be out Monday. Well yesterday came and went without contact or my roof being fixed. When I texted Jake and said don't bother ever coming, I'll hire someone else, he didn't he respond. Extremely unprofessional. Every time my husband would call him he wouldn't answer the phone call and then he would text me. Clearly, he knew he was in the wrong and couldn't man up and take a phone call. I originally chose PW Roofing because I like to support veteran owned businesses in Fayetteville but Jake gives the company a bad name. In response to the owner, I was told the only roofs that were ahead of us were the ones on the week on 7/9/18 and that once those were done ours would be done and/or done in between those jobs. There was no mention of the jobs that were starting the week of 7/16 in any communication between Jake and myself and my husband. I have all the text messages if you would like to see them. As for your snarky "we can not control the weather excuse" the past few days 7/21-7/24 is the first it has rained pretty much all month aside from a small pop up shower, also all it takes is a simple text from Jake saying, "hey inclement weather, have to reschedule" but that never happen. We only got a response from him when we asked where he was on days he told us he would be at our house. There was no preemptive attempt of communication from him. I understand other people's roofs leak, that is why I specifically asked for a schedule appointment after the first week went by so that I knew which order I would be seen, even if things shifted due to rain. I also made no comment about payment so I am not sure what you're referring to. I would not have paid in advance, plans were to pay after the service was provided. I understand that all I got done was the estimate from Jake with him saying that he could and would do the work.
I scheduled two separate inspections with this company & recieved a quote for repairing the roof during the due dillegence period of buying my first home. I was given a quote by Berry Walker who said they would repair the roof. I gave the quote to the seller, my lender & signed amendments based on this quote. The last day of Due Dillegence this company pulled out because there was not enough money in it for them to just repair the roof! They would not even pick-up phone to call me or answer my call. They sent it via text message. I was almost out $1500 of Due Dilligence & Earnest Money. I even let them know the situation & they ignored me completely. I'm thankful to the seller for agreeing the extend the due dilligence period so I could get another company to do the work. I've been in the multi-family industry for 6 years & I'm going to send this information to everyone I know in the industry. Extremely bad business practices! There are way too many companies to choose from out here than to choose ones like this one.
Hurricane Florence left her mark on several areas of our property leaving our detached garage with shingles blown off of it and possible roof damage. So, I contacted Jake Pfeffer with PW Roofing and he came out to look at it and another neighbors. He has been really helpful in giving me honest advice and answering so many questions about the damage, insurance, my costs and helped me the information I needed before filing my claim. He will also let you know if filing a claim isn’t in your best interest if you need help with that too. I’m so thankful we are able to have his assistance. My neighbors are also thoroughly impressed with his customer service and knowledge. The estimate was free, including him walking me through my concerns and answering dozens of questions. Be careful of scammers during this vulnerable time and choose a reliable and honest comany like PW Roofing. Jake is an asset to anyone with roof damage/concerns!
