Every single member of staff has been kind and compassionate. Today was the end of the road for my cat Peaches, after finding a mass in her throat at a previous visit. They gave me the time and space to say goodbye, she went quickly and peacefully. Thanks for making a hard day that little bit easier.
Super lovely staff. Brought in a muntjac that someone hit with a car and drove away. Even though RSPCA hanged up on me. These guys accepted the little deer. They took good care of the little one. Sadly had to be put to sleep to stop it from suffering. They staff were lovely enough to give me a call to update me. RIP little one Staff are amazing
Sadie had to be put to sleep yesterday and I cannot thank the staff enough for doing all they did to diagnose her! She had last stage cancer with no symptoms other she was shallow breathing for a short while which progressively got so awful it was like listening to Sadie suffocate so she was rushed to pdsa Cowplain which they acccomodates for immediately and they have done an incredible job despite the heartbreak we have suffered they are supporting and compassionate! She was made so comfortable and the treatment was beyond expectation! They truly have been so good and any other problems she has had, Thankyou so much I’m without my dog but I’m with a lot of faith that you did everything beyond your power to ensure she was calm and settled and made to feel at peace! This will hurt for a while but also I had to write this as the nurse vets were phenomenal Thankyou
Having been back and forth everyday for the better part of a fortnight, I got to know the team quite well. I had one issue however that was resolved fairly quickly. Despite it being a sad outcome, they were kind, helpful and compassionate the whole time. The wait times can be quite long but they, like a lot of places, are understaffed and oversubscribed.
Friendly receptionists, Vet there I dealt with didn’t want to help my pet was told he was brain dead basically and I needed to make a decision… didn’t even xray him to see if he had a break just couldn’t be bothered it seems like Glad I held out because turns out is an inflammation that’s caused the issue and he’s on the mend! Wonder how many more pets have been put to sleep because the vet couldn’t be bothered to do the assessments
The usual good service and kind treatment of my pet. Always been treated exceptionally well at this branch. Wonderful, kind staff.
It has taken me a few weeks to be able to write this but I wanted to thank everyone at PDSA Cowplain for your care and kindness to not only our family cat but also all of my family. Vet Natasha was amazing, she engaged with our ADHD son who has wanted to be a vet since he could talk which made the experience of having a palliative cat easier for him and his older brother. You were able to help ensure that our cat, Sami, was comfortable for those last few weeks we had with her and when it came to me having to bring her to have her put to sleep the compassion and understanding of everyone was amazing. You gave Sami a dignified, peaceful, and loving passing which is all I could ever have asked for. You allowed me to stay or leave if I had wanted to whilst paw prints and fur were collected. We had never anticipated that we would need the support of the PDSA but I never once felt that we weren't valued and I will be forever grateful for that. The service and care you provide is such an amazing one and I can only hope that if my son does become a vet too, that he strives to provide care as wonderfully as you all do. Thank you
. I'm agrophobic and rarely leave my home,I don't use the telephone either. I tried to use the website l even asked a friend to call, l found it very confusing and as I was distraught with worry about my buddy l decided to go in person. The receptionist Maggie was really unsympathetic and made me feel really stupid. Eventually she said l could wait to see a veterinary nurse l waited for two hours and felt too ill to continue, so I had to give up. I told the person at the desk l couldn't physically wait anymore, and as she was a veterinary nurse, and really caring she quickly checked him out and gave me some advice. I appreciated that, but will be very reluctant to use this service again because of the ignorant receptionist.
Terrible experience my dog has been in pain for 10 days they make appointments then cancel them they book a phone consultation with payment and don’t bother calling and when I call they say it’s been moved back 4 days how they think I can watch my poor dog in constant pain is beyond me have not even prescribed pain killers as they promised yesterday absolutely appalling
So my dog is severely ill so I phoned and explained what was wrong they said bring her in as soon as possible we'll treat here as an imergency sat in the practice for 3 hours before she was seen it took the piss pets we're coming in and being seen almost straight away and now we suspect it's not what the vet said after all and now our pet is worse ffs.
