Smooth registration, polite and respectful staff, official and professional yet welcoming environment. Clear instructions everywhere, from entering the building to receiving your results, both verbally and on the leaflets, signs in the whole facility. The entire facility was very clean by the way, hygiene and safety was clearly taken seriously not just "ticking the boxes". Overall, very friendly environment where I felt like I only needed to focus on my exam and did not have to worry about the registration process or anything else. The instructions given at the computers which you will be using to take the test were clear and straight to the point, felt like the whole process was just running very smoothly in a formal but friendly environment. Thank you Steve and the staff!
I did my Life in the UK test 6 months ago, and having only 12 days to cram studying the book and making an appointment before completing my official application, Steve and all the team on the day made me comfortable and relaxed from the start. It's an old building, but let's be honest we are not there for luxury. In covid restricted guidelines, everything was clean and tidy, even the toilets. If you need to do a test, I would highly recommend the Lewisham office as they helped put me at ease.
Everything run smoothly and the personnel was very friendly and helpful. I only have one negative comment regarding the booking of the Life in the UK tests, which is nothing to do with this business. A candidate arrived at 15:50 to do his test he booked it on the 16:00 slot as I did and could not enter since he was told it was too late and should have been at the test centre 30 mins earlier. I understand that this is advised on the email sent by the GOV UK service though this is not really obvious since you need to scroll down quite a bit and scan the content to find this information. However, the website does not show this clearly and if you are booking a time slot for 16:00, anyone would understand that the test should start at 16:00, not at 15:30!. Please explain this more clearly to avoid misunderstandings and people losing money unnecessarily.
Home Office should close this place I can not call it a test centre. I have the worst experience with them today. I was waiting outside on a street for more than 5 minutes ringing the bell more than 2 times, while he answered after that he was extremely rude, the way he speak and treat people in that place is make people feel small and think “why he treat me like this!!!!” It makes you stress I was lucky I passed my test, before the test I said I can not pass this test today because they treat me like I do not have any rights! He told me that I need to wait and not say anything otherwise he can leave me on the street and miss my test!!! While I went in he likes he is ready to fight!! The way he moves the way he speaks the words he is using!!! I passed but I wish I didn’t go to that horrible place. Do not book with these people and I will make a complaint to those people who gave them permission to have a test centre!!!!!!!
There is a black guy, who take pictures before test n checks you for your document - the way he speaks and deal with you is like he hate the fact that people are sitting these tests to settle in his country and was belittling. However, there is a black lady who was very kind n smiling and the white guy invigilator was nice and cool.. what was weird for me that they r still following the Covid rules….question were easy just complete the official life in uk test App and you should be fine. I did my test in 12 mints
My wife just did her exam, the bald guy signing in candidates is incredibly rude. It is a shame that ppl taking do not want stress themselves by getting into argument with him or trying to report him. Clearly the management couldn’t be less concerned and this needs to reported to via formal channels not just on Google reviews. Such individuals shouldn’t be allowed to interact with ppl. If you are reading the comment ahead of the exam make sure you provide the feedback in post exam survey.
The bald guy wearing Slazenger shoes is rude and treats examinees like low-life individuals from Victorian era. Who does he think he is? It is absolutely unnecessary to put up that kind of attitude when catering people who are already anxious about their test. The way he conducts himself and treat people makes me sick. I can see several reviews around here with the same experience and I hope that guy gets reprimanded by the way he does his job. I am so sorry for those who did not pass their test due to unnecessary stress brought about by this particular staff.
I really enjoyed my experience I would like to say thank you to Steve and everyone I met for being so accommodating and kind and being so nice when I was running late due to public transport cancellations. I really thought I'd miss the opportunity to do my test but I was reassured and the team helped me to feel comfortable and assisted me in making sure I was able to the the test. I want to say thank you for giving me the confidence to do the test without feeling stressed out and for the humour and helping me feel better. This is by far the best center to get the life in the UK test done. Tips: please arrive 20mins before the test and feel confident that the staff will help you feel comfortable and good luck with your test.
Positives: Smooth online registration and payment for life in uk test east sit for exam and pass Negatives : staff a bit too strict and rude not smiling etc makes you feel as you at police station and have committed a crime.. you as a organisation providing service to customers should make us feel welcome and make it easy experience we are already stressed by the exam pressure thanks
Without a doubt the worst experience of a test centre and human beings in that place. Staff are abhorrently rude, and want to argue at the smallest thing. When you mention your rights they pretend like it’s you and not them and the tone they use just makes you feel small and belittled. I started recording from the first minute, and when they saw I was recording their attitude changed completely. Despicable pile of trash bags and I will file a formal complaint. Avoid if possible. Not worth the stress.
