Went for the first time today with a 10 and 5 year old. They had the best time, loads of fun bouncing around, exploring the equipment, and ended up happy and exhausted. Seems like a win! Food was pretty decent too with more choice than your average activity place. Staff are all fantastic and actually seem to like being there and spending time with children, special shout out to Jess on the cafe counter who was very patient with a 10 year old who can't make a decision despite being run off her feet! we did let everyone go ahead in the queue, I'm not *that* mean.
We had a wonderful party at oxygen!nThe kids all loved it especially the organised game on the trampolines and the food was a hit.nIt feels really special.nYou get a lot of food which is great for hungry kids.nNice chips, chicken and pizza and a big plate of fruit.nIt’s really clean and there’s lots of helpful staff around…nOh and the loos are nice, what more could you want!nThanks so much Lynne for sorting this for us :

This is what inclusion looks like! This is the the fourth time we have visited @oxygenactiveplayyork since it opened. Every time, the staff have been absolutely lovely and couldn’t help more. I haven’t disclosed his needs as it’s not always necessary, he doesn’t wear his sunflower lanyard but staff make him feel so welcome.nnWherever Sam goes he always tends to be drawn towards staff rather than peers, and he is exactly the same at Oxygen. I’m conscious with him not being able to be in school at the moment that we need to ensure he is regulated physically as well as academically, and with it being that little bit quieter during term time it’s also not too overwhelming for him. The staff are so patient with him, including him where they can and always having time for him when he is there.nnToday he ordered the pancake stack with ice cream. Unfortunately they put summer berries on in error, as soon as they brought it they realised. Not only did they immediately make a fresh batch for him, but he got an extra scoop of ice cream too! For someone with real food aversion and sensory issues this could have gone really badly, I could see him starting to wobble. Their speed and professionalism ensured his meltdown was averted!nnTo be fully inclusive without a thought, for it to come naturally, is something we don’t always come across when parenting a child with hidden disabilities. So it’s a huge thank you from me and Sam, and we’ll see you guys again soon!
This place is amazing. Me and Hubby took our 19month twins, at first site could see it was going to be a good visit. The staff at the entrance were so polite, explaining clearly what was expected. You go through a tunnel to start with that is covered in sensory lights, brilliant for the young kiddies and adults, and the lights are perfectly safe for epileptics get to do do a little dance to groovy music then you are in. Was overwhelmed at first-where to begin}?nThe girls loved the sensory play aimed at under 5's started to explore all the soft play and really were having fun. I must add so did we, tested out the trampolines and went climbing on the soft play designed for all ages.nThe food that was served was very tasty. We will def be visiting again, and very soon :
