Ample parking time which lasts until the following morning. The huge car parks provide plenty of spaces. The journey into Oxford is around 20-25 minutes. Using this Park & Ride is straightforward, convenient and great value for money.nnOn the downside, the payment machines are a bit outdated, there aren't any directions to them they are at the central bus stop and it's not that easy to work out which bus stop you need for your journey.
Easy parking, frequent buses to the city of Oxford.nThe bus is however not the fastest as it stops to catch up on time.nPaying options for parking are convenient. This time around someone in the council had woken up to the fact that the toilet was well past its sell by date!
This is a good park and ride and the coffee at the kiosk is nice quality. There is sometimes a strong smell outside and the toilets are in need of upgrade/repair. Parking is good value especially £2.50 for 16 hours parking and free bus. I have used this park and ride frequently and would recommend to others.
Absolutely crazy. Why have buses that take almost an hour to get into the city centre leaving from Park and Ride AND DOWARN customers who are 95% tourists just wanting to go into city centre.nnThis “feature” probably has put me and the other 20 customers customers… from wanting robust Park and Ride at all.nnWe all got off and got a quicker bus thanks for advice friendly helpful bus driving after about 30 mins of visit g every hospital and hospital wing in Oxford.nnAbsolute madness.nnIf you want people to use Park and Ride and the line, then please think, or test your service first.nnObviously if zero star existed.nnOverall message for others: check which bus you take very carefully. Do not assume that the people who set up park and ride have do e done in a way that makes sense.
This has been the least empathetic and coldest experience I have ever had with customer care.nnI am an NHS staff member and use the free Park & Ride scheme with a valid permit, having surrendered my OUH parking permit as required. Unfortunately, my car broke down and had to be taken to a garage. I informed the relevant teams immediately. During this period, I was using a courtesy car provided by the garage and paid for parking every day without fail.nnOn one occasion, working a late shift, I unintentionally forgot to pay. As soon as I realised, I contacted my workplace transport team, only to discover that a fine had already been issued.nnI appealed the charge three separate times. Each appeal included additional evidence: email correspondence, proof that my own car was off the road, and confirmation that the vehicle was a courtesy car. Every appeal was rejected within hours, each time using the same impersonal, templated responses, with no acknowledgement of the circumstances or evidence provided.nn£50 is a significant amount for NHS staff earning only slightly above minimum wage, especially while already facing unexpected car repair costs.nnHumanity is dead.
