This hostel was everything you could wish for : The location is really great, you practically are in the city centre. The rooms are good and the beds comfortable. The bathrooms are cleaned regularly and spacious. The staff is very friendly and overall the hostel was very social. It’s got a good kitchen and a dining room as well as a tv room. I would definitely recommend staying there!
This hostel was absolutely wonderful! Incredibly kind staff and facilities available. Very clean and very safe. The location was excellent, near the city center and everything was walkable and nearby. The community areas are lovely, so much natural lighting and a truly homey feel. Not to mention I left a few items there and it was so easy to request them returned to me! Thank you AWESOME STAFF!! I loved my stay here!
Great service and comfy beds, but the dorm room we stayed in desperately needs air conditioning. Barely 25 Celsius during the day but the room was unbearably stuffy at night. Privacy curtains would have been nice too as the curtains were quite poor and let the light in at sunrise.Rooms: 2/5
Staff were very helpful, I requested a bottom bunk bed as I have a bladder condition I got a bottom bunk bed. The bed wasn't very comfortable mattress was very thin bed felt hard, noisy from the nightclub early hours in the morning up until 1.05am. Sink wasn't very clean in the bathroom due to someone had a shave in bathroom, more cleaning needs to be done & checks on bathrooms. Nice friendly staff through, don't forget to bring padlock for locker. Rooms: Bunk beds sharing with 8 people, u have a locket to put things in, buy a padlock or bring your own. Walkability: 10 minutes to the town and 10 minutes to the station.
I'd booked a 4bed female dorm. When arrived was told that didn't exist and put in a mixed dorm. 6 bed female dorms do exist there, it was a bit confusing I was taken to that and then asked to move back to the 4bed mixed dorm. The chap on reception was friendly and appeared to try his best in the situation. Kitchen was fine and clean. Coffee available in the morning. Showers are grim, flip-flops essential. You can get a towel from reception if you need. Beds are already made up. Not sure how you'd get out of the building in a fire -there were signs, it's just a feeling given the warren-like corridors. It is a youth hostel. If you are fine in a mixed bed dorm or 6 bed single sex then this will meet your needs. It's the first time I've booked a room type for a youth hostel and then found it doesn't exist on arrival.
For a few days last year, this was my writing group's home on the other side of the Atlantic, and I wanted to thank the staff and owners for helping us feel comfortable and enjoy the area. The lounges are tranquil, the bar is fashionable, and the small library and rooms felt secure and where I wanted to meet new people from Europe and abroad. We heard many languages, and at night, the streets were filled with the sound of nightclub music. You folks know how to have a good time. I hope you help even more young adults have a great trip in the future! Rooms: Clean, well-maintained rooms. Staff available to speak at designated hours. Nearby activities: The street may feel in its own space, but the nightlife when you return from exploring the area is the start of a party to remember. Check out the sign hanging on the upper floor. Cheers! Safety: The ladies and gentlemen are alert and hard-working, and they have an incredibly secure front door to the staircase. Walkability: We explored the whole area with this as our item storage and place to meet up after each day. Remember your key or code! Food & drinks: There are nearby cafés, and takeaway apps can help you order food to your room or one of the lounge spaces. Noteworthy details: As excellent as the Generator in Dublin or the Continental Hostel in London. Every location in this industry of traveling smart is unique, and you will make great memories with your time. Enjoy your trip!
Great for a night or a few days, near the station, supermarkets and Oxford funs. Everything is very clean, free earplugs, a lot of things in the kitchen for you to use. The rooms are a Big space but they have Windows so you can have fresh Air and heating for the night. Great staff, friendly and helpfull, in special the spanish speaker girl
I had booked the hostel for the wrong date mistakenly and I was heading toward Central Bagpackers for the stay. Hary was so kind to remind about the abnormality of my booking date and fixed the dates. I had to pay same price. I highly recommend this stay for the visitors, it’s so convenient, welcoming and clean. If I will come back to Oxford I will definitely stay here again and again. All the staffs are polite and friendly. Rooms: Rooms are clean, quiet. We have TV room, common Kitchen, common room for meals and do other stuffs. Nearby activities: There are important visitor attractions nearby. Prison castle is the one. Safety: It’s 100% safe guys. Walkability: You can walk from the train and bus station both. I dragged two luggage’s up to the hotel alone. Food & drinks: If you want to cook your meals the hotel kitchen is sufficiently occupied with the utensils and other basics. There are various restaurants and cafes nearby if you want to eat outside. Noteworthy details: Just don’t forget to locate the Central Bagpackers sign on the footpath side. It is just near the train and bus station.
Absolutely lovely place with very friendly staff! I stayed in a 6 bed female dorm and honestly I have no complaints! The showers & kitchen were clean and the free coffee and tea were also a nice touch!Rooms: 5/5
Loved the stay in this hostel! Good location, beds are comfortable and it is clean. The service was impeccable, having additional beds being added to accommodate all of us. Also, the personnel were very nice and always there to help! Although it can be a bit noisy on the street outside, earplugs, provided for free, solve this perfectly. Highly recommended!
