This place is so peaceful.. all my family have been cremated here .. the staff are helpful the gardeners are friendly and considering its winter months the maintenance of the whole place is well maintained I feel at peace with my mums final resting place
Over recent weeks I've had upsetting experiences at this place with my Mum and Dad's stone. 1 time I went the stone had been moved to a different place. Then another time I went all my artificial flowers which I had put on had been taken out of the vases and thrown all over everywhere and no it wasn't the weather. Then another time my flowers had been taken and placed in someone else's relatives vases. Also on 2 occasions the flowers I've put on my uncles have been stolen. So unhappy right now but don't know what to do ?
Usually fine but last time we went 21/7/24 had to search to find my husbands stone. It had been moved from its usual place and we had not had any information that this was being done.
I lost both parents in consecutive years and had both funerals here, the service although was nice it was unfamiliar as the vicars do not have enough time to get a sense of who the person was. Also when you chose a stone to remember them by there is absolutely no room for flowers, the staff removed my flowers as I went to the toilet, came back and my flowers were in the bin. Not nice.
I very recently had my wife funeral there , she had the most beautiful send off , and Overdale is such a beautiful place where you can go there and reflect on your love one . Been there a few times after my wife passing and been beautiful moments there such a peaceful quite place
