Visited for a funeral for a friend, strange service, it was announced it would be a short service fair enough but during the service there was hardly any mention of the person we were here to pay our respect to and no mention of her life, nothing about her husband, her working life, where she was born or family brothers sisters etc, as I say very strange service more interested going on about Jesus and the church family. For a person who went to church every week I think it was sad that nobody mentioned more of her interesting life which would have been easy to find out from her many friends still alive.
I really enjoyed my time at this church. The priest is very caring, a good preacher and very witty. The organist and choir are genuinely gifted. I felt included right from day one, which doesn't happen in every church.
Went to say goodbye to a great man today and was a witness to a Priest requesting a heartfelt ulagie to be shortened and a song cut short due to the Priests being under the weather.
