Following an encounter with the hygienist that can only be described as brutal, and during which I was never offered any anaesthetic, I have been left with what I believe is an infection in the gum, which is causing extreme pain. I reported this on Thursday afternoon and so far the surgery manager has failed to return my calls. It is now 3.30am on Saturday and I can't sleep because of the extreme pain. 
I am sure I am not the only person to have suffered from this hygienist, so I would appreciate comments from fellow victims as I determine what course of action to take next.
