Lovely house and garden along with lakes, wooded areas and parkland. An oasis of peace and quiet in London. Although the house is not fully open, there was a small interesting exhibition on the ground floor, when we went. Plenty of parking, small cafe in the stable block. Very helpful and knowledgeable volunteers. Worth a visit!
We visited Osterley park and we had National trust card so Free parking. It’s huge park with full of beautiful flowers. The park is big enough to ride a bicycle we may come back with bicycles next time. It’s a fun to visit the party place of house and garden. They have toilet and cafe too.!! And little store. Great fun
One of the biggest park in West London under London borough of Hounslow. What a lovely place for walking and jogging early in the morning. Lovely paths and tracks which is a huge enough for cycling as well as walking. The house is not opened yet and there's a nice coffee shop near which serves a good coffee and snacks with a reasonable prices. Plenty of benches outside the house for a good relax and eat. Toilets are close by near to the house and coffee shop with a restricted timings. Car parking is at good place and near which has plenty of space with a fixed pricing. There's a big pond with swan, ducks and geese which makes park looks very beautiful. Overall a good location to visit and relax our day. Only it lacks of children's play area and an open gym for public.
Beautiful park, perfect open space to bring kids and have a picnic, day out with family or use the space for exercises. Cycling, running or walking are great activities to do there. Public toilets well cleaned and designed. Restrooms: Toilets well planned and clean.
What a lovely place! We live so close but never actually visited. The kids all loved it!! Lovely paths and tracks as well as some good off-road walks/paths through fields and small wooded areas! The terrain all round is reasonably flat so easy to get round with a pram or junior bicycles and even easier for larger bikes or scooters. There is a a nice coffee shop which serves a good range of drinks and snacks/bites and the prices are reasonable. There is also a lovely seated area with plenty of benches just outside. Handy toilets are also close by - just be aware of timings. One surprise was the pretty cool bike track which has some good turns and undulations which is suitable for all ages - even with stabilisers!! Car park has plenty of space and again fixed pricing is reasonable, whether you want to visit for a couple of hours or spend the entire day! Really enjoyable, relaxing and highly recommended. We will definitely be visiting again.
Visited here when the house was closed over the winter. Access to the car par is along a drive which opens out to the car park. Free for members or £7 per day otherwise. It was fairly busy even for a weekday afternoon, as this place is popular with dog walkers. The main focus seems to be on the house, boundary walk, garden and meadow. There are also a couple of parts where you can cycle, seemed to be a lot of walkers on these tracks though when I visited. There was an opportunity to see some of the house during my visit. Due to an excellent exhibition on the ground floor describing the conservation work carried out over the winter. All the volunteers inside each room were extremely helpful and happy to provide information. You get a glimpse of the impressive staircase and ceiling murial from the ground floor. Really impressive garden even during the winter months. The trees and plants are very well looked after with lots of name tags so you know what you are seeing. Well worth taking the boundary walk to enjoy views of the house across the lake. Good place to observe planes landing at Heathrow. Definitely going back once the house opens up again around February-March time
It’s a very beautiful and amazing park. Feels as if you are amidst nature in the busiest city. One of the biggest park near Hounslow Borough. They have a beautiful word swans and ducks. There is a cycle for hire. Cycling locally would love to cycle here as there is good Cycle tracks. The entrance to the Osterley garden and the house is charged. You need to get a ticket if you wish to visit it. The park and pond views are totally free
Lovely spot. Very scenic and beautiful. Had a picnic with my boyfriend. You can rent a bicycle and a canoe. Lovely option to go for cycle along the cycle trail. Can't wait to go again with bikes. We drove and there was free parking along the ramp up towards to park. Flat ground for yoga and badminton. Osterley house is gorgeous also. Spacious enough to not be too busy so we had privacy for our picnic.
We had a great day out here. The house itself is magnificent and filled with lavish decoration and furnishings to admire. There are staff members located in each room who provide information and can answer questions. The grounds are extensive and a great place to go for a long walk or a cycle. However, the kitchen garden was the highlight for me. A beautiful walled garden overflowing with vibrant colours and smells. Definitely don't miss that.
I visited here in April 2022 when the Bluebells were in full bloom, and it looked great. It is easy to reach on public transport too as it is a short walk from the tube and buses. It also has a nice cafe and shop.
