Nice place to enjoy a drink, atmosphere was very relaxed and easy going, drinks were a little on the pricier side compared to other bars in the area £17 for a large wine & a pint but I'd visit again. Didn't have food so can't comment on quality but what I saw coming out to other patrons looked really nice and really well presented
I loved it, the food was lovely and I really liked how the restaurant was set up. It is decorated with many paintings and the furniture matches them very well. I was pleasantly impressed. I will come here again.
I’m in love with these Lounges chain and wherever i go, alway try to find out if any around so i can visit. Visiting Ostello second time and always feel welcome. Staff friendly and the decor inside beautiful. Food is the speciality of Lounges. Variety of delicious food, veggie, gluten free so do the drinks from coffee, smoothie to beer. Hopefully coming back agin when in Matlock.
The first time I'd visited on the recommendation of a friend to try their hot chocolate. As it was really busy we ordered some food as well. We could order from the table, which was great as we didn't have to queue and wander around with a menu. The drinks came very quickly after the order was placed and the garlic and Italian cheese fried we ordered were cooked to order and came blazingly hot to the table.nBoth food and drink were excellent and definitely something I would have again and recommend to people who can have chocolate, garlic, butter, cheese etc.nIt was a bit noisy when we went as it was completely packed, but it wasn't 'bad' noisy, just lots of people having relaxing drinks, snacks, and meals.nIt's also nice to see that dogs were allowed in so one to add to the list for when we're walking up that way.
Restaurant spacious and clean and a very good location within Matlock. Menu comprehensive with a good selection. Quickly asked for any allergies at the bar when placing an ordering was appreciated.nnThe food: arrived within an impressive 15 minutes. My beyond meat burger and fries prepared well with a lovely taste. Sadly the slaw compromised volume over plate aesthetics.nnImprovements:nnThe establishment was a lovely place to sit, drink or dine but sadly let down by a few minor points which could be corrected with the right management / training structure.nnFriendliness was distinctly lacking from some of the staff. A simple smile really makes an experience better and more likely to return. Unsure if you needed to pay extra for a little customer service. Felt a little like I was inconveniencing the person behind the bar by ordering food.nnOther service: it would have been nice to have the server check if everything was ok with my meal. This sadly was not offered.nnConclusion: if you want something tasty in a rush and don’t mind cold interactions with the staff, go ahead.
