I had fixed braces as a teenager and wore a night time retainer for around ten years, but I stopped after a minor traffic accident knocked my teeth and it no longer fitted. I had been led to believe that I could gradually stop wearing my retainer over time so I didn't think this was a problem, but unfortunately my teeth reverted back to their previous position over the next few years and made me incredibly self-conscious. Eventually, when I was 35, I went to see my dentist and asked whether he could recommend an orthodontist. He mentioned several but told me that if I were his daughter there was absolutely no question who he would choose and that if I was prepared to travel to Solihull then Dr Huntley was the absolute best there is.

As soon as I visited Orthodontic Excellence I felt completely comfortable there. The staff were friendly and everybody in the team was really kind and accommodating. I knew that my case was a rather complex one and Dr Huntley was very thoughtful and thorough with his advice. I was already aware that jaw surgery was the only way I could obtain a "perfect" bite, but since I wasn't keen on this we discussed what was likely to be achievable with braces and Dr Huntley recommended Invisalign. My treatment was fairly long (around 2 1/2 years), due both to the complexity of my case and to Dr Huntley's commitment to obtaining the very best result possible, which I am immensely grateful for. On a couple of occasions I was given the option to stop if I felt I had had enough, as my teeth were already looking great. However I was happy to continue for as long as Dr Huntley felt there was more that could be done and the results have massively exceeded my expectations. Throughout my treatment both Dr Huntley and Nicola Clements and have been amazing and I couldn't have asked for anything more. I also think it speaks volumes that when we had the heavy snow this winter Dr Huntley was at the practice himself at the crack of dawn clearing out the car park for those of us with appointments that day! I honestly can't recommend Orthodontic Excellence highly enough and I hope Dr Huntley has no plans to retire within the next 20 years, as if my children ever need orthodontic treatment I wouldn't dream of taking them anywhere else!

I could not recommend Peter highly enough! I am currently undergoing treatment with Peter Huntley and am impressed with the quality of work I am receiving, he is an expert in his field and is truly outstanding and highly professional.  Peter is an impeccable perfectionist which is an absolute necessity for such an exposed yet intricate area, everyone sees your smile and it shapes your face and first impressions. I had an extremely complicated and rare case, so my father, a well respected GP Dentist, referred me to Peter for Orthodontic treatment as he would not go anywhere else.  My sister also had treatment with Peter, when we were a LOT younger and she still has the perfect impressive smile to prove his work is long standing.  I recommended a friend, since undergoing treatment, who has been extremely (and emotionally!) pleased with her results which are proving life changing as we can all now smile without hiding half of our faces!  I learnt in the past, the wrong specialist can have serious implications for your health, hence why I am writing this review as Peter took this worry out of the equation.  I HIGHLY recommend Orthodontic Excellence, all the staff are all super lovely too!

I can’t recommend this place high enough! I got the free consultation to start with and even when I decided to go through with the NHS rather than with them, Dr. Virginia was still really professional and gave me objective answers! Fast forward a couple of months and I decided that a jaw surgery isn’t for me so came back to start my treatment with Dr. Virginia. The whole experience was a pleasant one, she listened to my needs and made sure that I’m pleased with the way my teeth look before they remove my braces (that took a few months as my teeth were not perfectly aligned). The other staff are really nice as well!

It took me quite a long time to find an orthodontist I wanted to use. I went for a number of consultations over approximately 2 years. 
As soon as I went to Orthodontic Excellence I knew it was where I wanted to have my treatment completed. From the very beginning I was listened to. 
I was very adamant I did not want to have any teeth removed and had been told by other orthodontists that I would still have quite a large overbite if I did not. When I explained this at my consultation my fears where listened to and I was told that they would be able to do what I wanted and still make my teeth look beautiful, which is exactly what they did. 
Dr Virginia Rootkin Gray was always friendly and took the time to understand what I wanted and worked with me to get my teeth lovely and straight. She always listened and was very friendly and patient. 
All of the staff are wonderful and friendly too and they really cant do enough for you. I feel like I made friends as well as got a wonderful new smile. I am actually going to miss going every 6 weeks. 
Thanks everyone, you truly are a lovely and caring team and I always felt relaxed and at ease in your lovely comfortable, clean and well kept surgery. :)

The Complex Orthodontic treatment which I have received over nearly three years has been excellent.  Dr. Peter Huntley and his team are very caring and always professional. I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone who is thinking of having Orthodontic treatment. I know that I was a challenge because I was in my late 60's when I first visited them for an assessment. After the initial consultation Peter was very positive that he could help me and I never doubted his word. The end result is beyond my expectations.
