Authentic cuisine and design. One of my most enjoyable meals. Perfect for 2 or for a large family. We had lovely waitresses Olga, Maria and Ella, Who were all very friendly. Maria especially gave a vibe to the restaurant that could not be matched. Would definitely recommend.
My meal at Ortenzi consisted of Snails as a starter and a Steak as a main course. The Snails were acceptable one of the six was very hard so I did not eat it, but the sauce had little flavour. The Steak had beautiful texture, but had a *very* strong charcoal taste from the grilling which unfortunately ruined the flavour for me, On the positive side, the restaurant was very popular with far more visitors than the other restaurants I passed. Perhaps I was just unlucky or chose the wrong dishes.
Lovely family atmosphere and great food portions. Friendly staff
Nice clean restaurant and loos, with a typically Italian menu comprising a good selection of pasta, pizza, meat and fish dishes, and some specials e.g. grilled sardines - lovely. We weren't particularly adventurous on drinks stuck to the Peroni, and didn't make it as far as dessert, though there was a good selection available. You could definitely bring your mother here. Good food, good service, pleasant environment.
This reastaraunt has been a family favourite for more years than I can say. The kids are now adult and still choose to go back here. The food is always delicious and feshly cooked. Its often really busy and thats a good sign. Maybe have to wait a little but at least you know its not just reheated frozen stuff. Try the fish specials or the pastas. Always reasonable priced for the quality. Booking now for Chicago visitors.
In a large birthday party group so making some allowances. Ham and melon starter good, veal escalope was good but came with too many fried sides. Shortage of Panna Cotta which turned out to be over set. Overall not too bad, but personally I found the chairs uncomfortable for a long sit!
Been to Ortenzi more then once now and cant fault it what so ever! Went along this saturday with my family, great service and wonderful food. If your looking for a restauant with unbeatable prices and quality food get yourself down there!! you won't be dissapointed. Top Notch!!!
Definitely enjoyed the experience at Ortenzi's. A relaxed, moving environment served with homemade delicious Italian food, though simple. Must come again soon.
Very poor & deplorable service - lifeless and listless staff & owner. Food quality not up to scratch & worst of all - when asked for a bill - was not presented one with details. Won't spoil my evening going there again ever
Definetley the best Italian restaraunt in the whole area. Very nice food and fantastic service. Thoroughlly reccommend.
