Thank you for a well run open day - we together with our 2yo had a great time checking out the fire engine and it was great that he can have a go at the water hose. It was our first time in a fire station and it was educational for us to learn about the station, the job - and the fire cadets were helpful to explain some of the features in the fire engine. For older kids there were also CPR demonstration and dressing up as fireman/woman. We thought we'd spend no more than half an hour but it ended up over an hour - despite the cold. It was overall a fun open day. Although there were no working toilets - apparently ran out of water? From the water hose demonstration perhaps....
