Very good quality, authentic food. Portion sizes are smaller than average. Don’t order here if you’re looking for a typical Irish Chinese which are much heavier in general but this is the place if your emphasis is on quality over quantity and perhaps somewhat healthier option
I booked this Restaurant by phone for Saturday night. On booking I was asked for my Credit Card details as if I did not show I would be charged a €10 no show charge. I gave my card details but when asked for my security number on the back I said I was not very happy giving this as I had cancelled my card the previous week due to funds been taken from my account. The card I was now using was my wife’s as it takes five to seven working days before you receive a new one. He said that was okay. We arrived for our table on Saturday at 8 to be told we had no table booked. A lady was called which I presume was the manager she looked up a list on a clipboard and told me that the security number for the card did not work. I said I never gave a security number and explained my conversation on the phone previously. I was then told that she was standing beside the guy that had taken my call previously and that I was told I could call as a walk in but would not be guaranteed a table which was totally untrue. I was told there was no table for me now. I said they had my phone number and the least they could have done was phone. I found the whole experience embarrassing and will never be going back to this Restaurant again having been there on numerous occasions. I must also add that all the information provided appeared to be on a clipboard so much for security as all could easily be photographed on a phone.
The food id not bad, but you can get better. It's average at best. However, I cannot believe the price. 15-25 euros for fried rice! And the portions aren't even large. Most other chinese restaurants are cheaper, serve bigger portion for almost half the price. This restaurant is charging fine dining prices for the quality of a cheaper.
Great food in beautiful presentations. Friendly & lovely waiters/waitress & staff. Lovely decorations. We enjoyed our dinner here in celebration for my son’s 21st Birthday.
i used to live beside Orchid and was a regular takeaway customer, but unfortunately our order arrived looking a lot different. For €55, the order didn’t even fill a small bag - an item was missing but even so the portion sizes are far smaller compared to a few months ago. The containers are now cardboard, but 2/3 of the size. The food itself was nice, the satay was not a great satay and the menu has also changed so I couldn’t get my usual. Really disappointing and I won’t be ordering again.
I'm sure the food is great but they don't cater for kids even though they took the booking knowing there were 6 kids in our group, we left before ordering even a drink. Disappointed with lack of information.
Came in as a table for 1 for dinner whilst away on business. Staff very friendly and accomodating. Food was lovely - and I love Asian food so it ticked many boxes. Crispy Garlic Prawns 5/5 Crispy Chilli Chicken with egg fried rice 4/5 Place was really filling up as I left which is always a sign of quality too.
Absolutely amazing. Nicest food I have had in a long time. I really enjoyed it and highly recommend it. Dietary restrictions: I'm a celiac and they had loads of options.
Genuinely the best Asian restaurant in Dublin. Fantastic food and service. Definitely recommend dining in if you're in the area.
Food is not your typical Irish Chinese Restaurant, good ambience, friendly staffs, GREAT FOOD!!!
