Such a beautiful place. Kind and polite team. Chill music, quiet and nice interior, without any noise. All meal was so delicious. This restaurant became my favourite. I’m totally recommending.
My partner and I went for her birthday and had a wonderful meal. The food and brinks were amazing and the atmosphere was great. We really enjoyed ourselves and will definitely go back.
Lovely meal served by Tom who was exemplary. Chicken skewers were tasty and not dry as they can be when griddled, starters were tops and the drinks ice cold and well suited to the food.nnIn simple terms we ate the food Tom advised us on exactly and had no complaints. Cost wise 2 people starter main and pudding with drinks came out at just shy of 90 quid inc the service charge which is quite fair for a Sunday meal.
Whilst the potential is great, the reality has something to be desired on this occasion.nFantastic setting, classy bar downstairs and an impressive spiral staircase taking us to our dining.nThe setting was lovely, although as we went to be seated this is where the problems began. A group of 6 effectively around a coffee table see picture, the food took an age to come and when it did arrive didn’t live up to the price tagnOnion soup- no flavor needed to add salt and peppernSteak- fillet steak was cooked well, although your included sides are some dry awful onion rings and soggy mushrooms and tomatoes. You don’t get a normal side included in the high price which is just a bit cheeky. I opted for the roast potatoes, which were soft and not crispy in any way, more like new potatoes in oil. Another on the table had to send back a cold steak to be fair they knocked this off the pricenDessert- brownie and ice cream, can’t go wrong reallynThe service was slow, and felt like you had to grab their attention to get something. The restaurant was very Smokey all night see picture, not sure if we were sat by an extractor from the kitchen. It was very busy and maybe that was the cause of our issues, but sadly did have an impact on the evening.nSeems to be doing well, so maybe our experience was an isolated one… will probably try again as potential is there, we just had a bad experience on this occasion, a shame given it was over 60 pounds per head
This is a lovely place to catch up, chat, and have amazingly good food. Bar staff friendly, service staff were excellent. Thank you.nMakes a huge difference when you have a evening out after a long week.nFood - the burger was one of the best I have had in a longtime. The fish was also cooked well and fell apart..nChips with blue cheese and bacon - just Yes! What a great combination.
