Had ICL treatment about a couple of weeks ago and I would highly recommend this surgery. Both teams in Leicester and Glasgow were so lovely, so helpful and I couldn’t recommend them enough. Nicki and Elaine from the Glasgow clinic were just always so kind and helped me with any queries or concerns I had post op and carried out my aftercare so well. Dr Stephenson from the Leicester clinic was so great as well as the rest of the team - talked through every single step of the surgery and made me feel at ease! Thank you all for your amazing service
Can't fault the team at Optimax Glasgow. I appreciated how thorough the initial consultation was and how they weren't pushy at all, they actually encouraged me to take time to think about it. Everything on the day of surgery went smoothly and I was kept informed at every step of the process. The Lasik procedure was over in minutes. I would recommend trying to get home ASAP after - my eyes were streaming and I could barely open them in daylight even with sunglasses for the first few hours! The surgeon seems very knowledgeable and the opticians and reception staff are all approachable, efficient and helpful. Overall, super happy with everything.
From initial consultation to post-op follow up all of the staff at Optimax Glasgow have been incredibly helpful and professional. I am delighted with the result of my two lens replacements due to cataracts. I now have very clear distance vision thanks to well-prescribed toric lenses. The procedure was quick and painless. I would happily recommend Optimax Glasgow and would like to thank the staff there for their great service.
I had laser eye surgery at Optimax in Glasgow. I had been considering this surgery for a long time. I had gone to another high street clinic and had a free consultation with them where I felt it was more of a sales process than the care of my eyes. They also gave me a much higher price for the surgery. I then decided to come to Optimax for a free consultation because I had read reviews and they were generally good. The clinic itself has a nice atmosphere, the staff are very helpful and welcoming. From the beginning they have been understanding and answered all my questions and concerns. After the consultation I decided to go ahead with surgery as I was happy with the price and all the information they provided me. Also what I like was that after you say you want to go ahead, you have a video consultation with the surgeon performing your surgery. This made me feel at ease and more confident with going ahead with surgery. The day of the surgery went well and was quick. I had to fill out a few forms and then it was my turn for surgery. The surgeon was excellent, he answered any more questions I had and even performed an extra test for me because I use computers a lot so I was worried my prescription may have changed. All the staff were extremely helpful and caring during the surgery and afterwards. Overall I am very happy with my experience at Optimax in Glasgow. Laser eye surgery has changed my life, I can see clearly!! So glad I chose to finally do this!
Optimax Glasgow were impressive from first contact. I followed up a recommendation by checking out their website and having the free consultation. I immediately proceeded in booking my cataract surgery which was completed 5 weeks from first contact. Very welcoming and professional attitude by all at the clinic, as was the consultation with the surgeon. Comprehensive information and communication at all times, the surgery was quick and painless resulting in a transformation of my eyesight. I have no hesitation in recommending Optimax and the Glasgow clinic.
Amazing experience. Lorraine, Nicole, Bibi, EVERYONE there is fantastic. The stuff, the surgeons, the orthoepedics are all honestly top class. I had a lot of doubts and even considered saving money by travelling abroad, but I’m very glad I went to Optimax and could not recommend enough. Also my eyesight is nearly perfect now, and I was damn near blind before at -10 and -8 roughly. My life has changed and I never thought this would be possible
Really positive experience at Optimax. I have now had LASEK surgery done on two separate occasions 2010 and 2023, as the initial treatment regressed with time. This was not the fault of the surgery or the team, but was due to getting it done before my eyes had fully developed. The retreatment was free, which is excellent, and wholly unexpected. Both times the care has been very good, and the team are top notch. The only reason to not give 5 stars was due to receiving very different information from different members of the team regarding the timescale for treating my eyes, and how long I would need to leave between treating the first and second eye. This was a bit frustrating, but not a massive issue. All round good experience.
I had ICL surgery at Optimax Glasgow Clinic around 5 days ago, and could see immediately after treatment. My vision prior to this was around -11.25 with Astigmatism and I had worn glasses for over 30 years. I was nervous about the procedure but my surgeon was so calm and everything about what was going to happen was explained to me several times so I knew exactly what to expect. The procedure itself felt a bit strange, but was completely pain free and I didn't see anything that was going on. I had both eyes done at the the same time and after the first eye was done, everyone re-scrubbed for the second eye. While waiting there I could see the ceiling fan which I didn't know was there prior to surgery. It was an amazing feeling. 5 days on I've still had no pain. I have the odd "halo" now and again but these are definitely improving each day. If I've been awake too long, I do feel my eyes being tired and dry by the evening. But the drops really help and after a sleep I'm back to feeling great again. 2 days after the surgery it was confirmed I have better than 20/20 vision which I didnt even have with my glasses! I liked the fixed price- since my eye sight was really bad before, I found other companies charging me excessively. Optimax did not add on any costs and were cheaper than my other quotes. If you're thinking of having the surgery done, go for it. I'm 36 and can't wait to finally have a life without glasses!
I recently had laser eye surgery with Optimax and feel confident I made the right decision. The staff are lovely, particularly Nicola, who answered all my questions and reassured me during the surgery. I never once felt pressured even during the initial consultation and always felt like my best interests were considered. I would say the surgery was a little more painful than expected, however the staff were great at looking after me and I'm really pleased with the results so far
Had LASIK at the Glasgow branch. Whole experience from 1st call to after care has been great. All the staff are amazing. On the day of my LASIK I was very nervous but everybody including Dr Samuel were awesome and did everything to make me feel at ease.
