Open Heaven Church is a thriving community of people passionate about following Jesus and showing his love to the world. We are based in Loughborough.

Story

We have 2 Open Heaven (OH) gatherings that meet every Sunday:

OH1 is our 18-30’s expression of Open Heaven. Our passion is to create a relevant and vibrant gathering that glorifies God and strengthens faith. We meet in an open venue with no doors to shut – a space that we fill out with worship, creativity, teaching and community. We are a real and authentic community learning to follow Jesus.

OH1 meets every Sunday during term time at 4.30pm in Room 1 at the Student’s Union on Loughborough University campus (LE11 3TT). We have joint gatherings with OH2 during the summer.

OH2 is our family-friendly expression. Our aim is for children to grow and flourish and for adults to be equipped and strengthened. Our gatherings are packed full of interaction, creativity and fun. It's relaxed, informal and at times noisy! We have a fantastic children's ministry with five different age groups of children's work on a Sunday.

We meet every Sunday at 10:30am at St Peter’s Centre on Storer Road, Loughborough (LE11 5EQ).If you are coming by car, please park further down Storer Road, round to the left at Rosebery Medical Centre car park (LE11 5DX).

Mission

Our vision is to be a community of people who reflect Jesus to those around us. Since Open Heaven started over twenty years ago, we have felt a specific call to ‘making 21st century disciples’. This means to be both whole-heartedly devoted to Jesus and also fully engaged with the 21st century culture we live in. This vision shapes everything we do.
