They were alright a few years ago, but honestly they are just awful now. Minimum payment on card in 2023? Archaic, illogical and irrational - if not a dodgy tactic to put more cash in their pockets and avoid tax brackets. Point-of-sale and payment processing systems which allow small payments are both affordable and widely available nowadays, so there truly is no excuse for this. Their hours are odd to say the least. The food is shocking, Stephen Hawking's reanimated corpse could fry better food with a blowtorch and a bowl of milk. Soggy is an understatement - perhaps "wet" is more suitable. Also occasionally undercooked or just barely brought to safe temps, but generally all just tastes bland. Honestly going here is just a waste of life, and I'd say money too if they'd accept it. Judging from other reviews I think the only word I can use to describe this establishment is "scummy". Vegetarian options: A bottle of water probably. I mean chips *are* vegetarian, right? In all seriousness, I wouldn't bother. Chances are they'll lie to make the sale, they won't even be able to tell you or they'll be contaminated by non-veg products. Kid-friendliness: They are not friendly to adults, let alone children. I would not even consider their food child-friendly unless you're thinking about teaching them the experience of food poisoning. Parking: Perhaps 10-15 spaces shared between the whole parade of shops. Wheelchair accessibility: You may get through the door if they have a foldable ramp, if not there is a small step to hop up if capable, but the layout isn't really suitable for a wheelchair. Dietary restrictions: They don't often put effort into cooking their food properly, I suggest that you steer well clear if you're concerned about allergies.

The chips here are amazing. Drop by and grab a small bag on the way home. Worth a visit The fish is massive and fresh Honestly if you after a great bit of cod and fantastic chips come here Best chip shop up here that I’ve been to hands downnnn
They have a minimum card payment in place which is inhuman and outdated, especially post-covid. Portions are large and the meat is decent, lots of sauce, but the chips are soggy.
Food is nice but Jesus, doesn’t hurt to smile. Staff come across rude except for the owner. Not to mention I heard the member of staff talking about me loudly. Not the first time…
Just been to order food got home one of the items chicken nuggets was missing so had to go back. When I did get back home my partner informed me that mine and our sons pies were both cold. Absolutely shocking service wont be using this place ever again
Horrendous no service at allsoggy chips cold pie tastlesscurry sauce never again and judging by the loads of other bad reviews l am not alone and the staff so unfriendly what happened to service with a smile never seen so many miserable hostile staff avoid l am
They said there too busy to deliver. Surely there customer base would be better if the offered delivery like they advertise. guy on the phone was so rude. "No deliveries bye" Even turned off the just eat app. There food ain't that great anyway
What happened to this place?! Used to be the best chippy for miles. Cod wasnt even cooked and the chips were soft and soggy and looked as though they’d been stood for days. Vile. They’ve lost good customers in my family. Don’t waste your money.
I have just picked up chips and a fish cake, large curry sauce. The chips went straight in the bin they were cold and dry the fish cake was cold too. I definitely won’t be going back
