Been here many times now for food, and their afternoon tea. Highly recommend. I tried their coronation chicken in an afternoon tea in September & had to have it again! Their afternoon tea is one of the cheapest I’ve been to but still offers high quality & plenty of food in comparison to the more expensive ones. Always friendly service & quick. Their cake counter also always looks delicious!
We often visit here with my father- in- law and sit outside on the terrace and enjoy a pot of tea.nWe occasionally treat ourselves to a preordered high tea, with cakes, sandwiches, etc. These are really delicious and well worth the visit.nThe Olive Tree has great, friendly staff, and the ambience is tremendous. Set amongst the grounds of the home, it is both peaceful and relaxing.nOver a relatively short period, we've watched this business becoming established and go on to become a favourite of many.nnSadly, father-in-law is now no longer with us. Years on.....and it's still one of our favourite haunts. We particularly like the themed afternoon high teas, and the staff are great.nnIt's still well worth a visit. We still regularly sit outside in the picturesque garden with our dog Daisy enjoying a tea.
Delicious afternoon tea, everything you could wish for. Delicious sandwiches, crisps, scones cheese and plain with clotted cream and jam and a selection of yummy cakes. We couldn't eat it all and had to bring some home oh dear, what a shame ha ha very good value for the money. Would definitely recommend.
Phoned on the off chance to book an afternoon tea, to which we were told there was no need to book and you can just turn up which we thought was odd as we had booked before and is usual to have to book for something like that at any location, to be told once we arrived that we have to book. When we explained this to the lady who worked there, she very rudely said that we had got it wrong. Fair enough if there was confusion with what they heard i was asking for on the phone, but the rude attitude of staff isnt great! This is the second time I've visited and some of the staff have been less than welcoming, which is a shame, as the Cafe itself is lovely, and the rude staff is a minority. Needless to say we won't attend again.
Lovely place in the grounds of a care home. But as a result a lovely peaceful welcoming setting. Very nice staff. Gorgeous array of cakes if that is your thing. Even with several customers and groups not at all noisy a lovely place to spend time.
