I went to a friend's wedding there. It was a small venue but very beautiful. The service was excellent and the food was stunning and cooked to perfection. Lovely.Food: 5/5
I visited The Old Vicarage wondering why they didn't have a Michelin star anymore. Much of my review is based on this. I felt the service was okay, it's better than your average restaurant. I think they hire people from the local college. This is fine but obviously they lack the polish! I also asked the main server a few questions and the answers were a 100% rehearsed. The food was amazing, it was all really delicious. One of the best meals I've ever had. I would definitely recommend getting the wine pairing! The sommelier was very knowledgeable and chatty. He was very happy to share all his knowledge about the different wines and his journey on becoming a sommelier. I'm not sure why they don't have the Michelin star anymore, I think it could be cos of the service but maybe the menu isn't very innovative. Although it is insanely delicious!!!!
Absolutely great place, seasonal menu. Excellent wine list and sommelier. Don't expect to come here on a budget but do expect excellent service and a meal to remember. Parking: Parking available
Although Tessa Bramley has been Chef Patron at The Old Vicarage for over thirty years, my relationship goes back even further, in fact another decade, so there’s a long history of fine dining, and I can honestly say things only get better. Swerving the three course option we choose the Prestige menu, a six course tasting option, with matched wines. Every course is a delight, exquisite flavours, elegantly matched and beautifully presented.
Absolutely loved this, the food was delicious, and came out looking sensational. We went for the prestige meal, which is 7 courses. The staff were amazing couldn't do enough for you. Will definitely go again.
Fantastic restaurant for a special occasion! Had a 7 course taster menu with paired wines and everything was beautifully presented and tasted great. This is a bit on the expensive side but worth a visit for a special night. Service was excellent and the staff really know their wines! The place had a very homely feel yet still very posh!
Attended the wedding of my sister today ..what a beautiful venue idyllic scenery and amazing food. The service was second to none. Thankyou so much for your hospitality and making the day magical

The meals are so very good. It’s so like a Michelin star restaurant . And the staff are so very nice.
