Wonderful place. Beautifully decorated, great location, lovely views and warm welcome. Still retains lots if features from the original station.

These cottages have the most lovely views of Dartmoor, but they are also very handy for Tavistock town centre, which has some great little independent shops. I thought they were further out than they are, looking at the map before visiting but they are just up the hill, just out of the way enough that they are nice and peaceful. They are rather beautifully fitted out too. Re: the other review about railways: this is actually Tavistock North station - if you look at the proposed re-opening of the Plymouth line, if that happens, it will go in at the other end of the town!

We stayed in the Refreshment Hall for three nights.Everything is to a very high standard and Colin and Jenny were most welcoming. We all enjoyed it very much and hope to go back September 2011

The word is the people of tavistock and district want their rightfull railway BACK,and so they should. Where will this leave this former station?nice as it is.
