Stopped off for a take away coffee on a walk. Hot chocolate not great. Can't sit inside with dogs which for the New Forest is really unusual so won't be going back much. You're either dog friendly or not. Sitting outside in the cold with your dog is not particularly appealing. Lovely old bits of the station remain and very quirky. Will give it another go and try the lovely looking meringues but in the warmer weather. Will update review then. Parking: Ok for off season but suspect busy in summer
This is a lovely little cafe and tea rooms. Warm and welcoming in the winter, with lots of outside tables for summer visits. Winter hours are limited so check before coming. Outside quick service kiosk for ice creams, drinks and snacks. The building is the old Holmsley station on the Ringwood to Brockenhurst railway, closed in the 1960s. There is plenty of parking on site. The old railway bed makes up the Castleman Trailway from Poole to Brockenhurst, and the tea rooms are a firm favourite among walkers and cyclists in the New Forest.
Lovely place for lunch, a cake or just a drink. Can get very busy as it's very popular. When busy parking can be a problem too. Best to book a tableFood: 5/5
This was my first time here and I loved it. All home made food which is excellent. Good value for money. Great friendly service. But, for me, the lady serving knew all the history of the station and the line. I will be back.
The Old Station tea rooms, is well worth a visit. Comprehensive breakfast and main menu. Staff are very helpful, friendly and most welcoming. Service was excellent and the cooked breakfast was to die for. I will most definitely be back to try out more of these well presented and cooked meals at very competitive prices.
We went for "the walk" following a disused railway track to what had been described as a lovely little tea room. We got there on the lunchtime rush and the staff were obviously under pressure. The food was lovely and the cakes looked amazing but sadly the staff were too busy to offer the service that is needed in such a lovely place. I would go again just at a quieter time.
Visited today and had the macaroni cheese crumb it was amazing! My husband had the pie dinner and was really impressed. The staff are super friendly and we’re working so hard. This is my second visit and definitely not my last. Please congratulate the kitchen. So pleased dogs are not allowed in , as this is the correct thing to do when your serving food inside Vegetarian options: Superb choice on menu, wished other places offer the similar
Visited twice today before and after a walk, though we parked elsewhere. Gorgeous cakes with coffee and outstanding afternoon cream teas. All well socially distanced service and seating tables. Highly recommended!
