"We are a family run country pub and b&b recently under new ownership, serving home cooked food in a warm and welcoming environment. Dog friendly bar and accommodation. We also provide bicycle lock up on request for are overnight guests. We have a large car park and can accommodate up to 4 motor homes per night booking advisable. We are close to Moffat as well as the M74 and the southern upland way walking trail."

A very friendly small town pub. The staff were lovely, and were proper bar staff in that they recalled your order and offered table service. It was an intimate atmosphere and I have no doubt had we been sat closer by other drinkers, they'd have invited us to join in the conversation. Very reasonably priced, and dog friendly.
Used this as a stop over in my motorhome. It was free as long as you used the pub. We had food and drinks which the food was excellent also the drinks and reasonably priced. Would recommend and will use this place again
Was staying nearby in a lodge and visited with my wife and 4 grandchildren. Very welcoming and friendly, that's staff and customers. Had a meal and dessert, both were gorgeous. If I stay local again we will definitely be going back. Highly recommend
We stayed here after getting stranded when the roads were closed due to flooding. The staff were so helpful and friendly and even brought our food to our room for us. Would highly recommend!

From Glasgow to Dumfries, with X74 Bus. Booked Old Stables Inn Beattock, for a night. Amazing Experience around Moffat Area. Fresh air. Good shower. Best soup & Chick Burger, chips, salad. Tight sleep. Lovely breakfast. Worth every, moment.. every scotish pound. Amazing Scotish people.
Food is fantastic and great staff too. The menu has a great choice of food. Didn't need to wait long for the food. Very affordable and the portion sizes are just right. I would highly recommend to anyone
Popped in for dinner just after 6pm. No food served before then. Had the macaroni cheese and chips with salad. Not one complaint. Food was fantastic. Ordered two cokes. Bill was under £15. Located just off junction 15 m74 southbound. Very easy to find. Would definitely return.
